Who are we?<br />
Destination <strong>Queenstown</strong> (DQ) is <strong>the</strong> regional tourism organisation responsible for <strong>the</strong> marketing of <strong>Queenstown</strong> as <strong>the</strong><br />
Sou<strong>the</strong>rn Hemisphere’s premier four season lake and alpine resort.<br />
DQ works with local businesses, including tourism operators, <strong>the</strong> hospitality industry, accommodation providers, retailers<br />
and service sectors to promote <strong>the</strong> region as <strong>the</strong> Sou<strong>the</strong>rn Hemisphere’s premier, four season holiday destination.<br />
On an international level, DQ works closely with Tourism New Zealand and within long haul markets promotes <strong>the</strong> wider<br />
Sou<strong>the</strong>rn Lakes region alongside neighbours Destination Fiordland and Lake Wanaka Tourism.<br />
What we do:<br />
DQ undertakes a variety of strategies to consistently market and promote <strong>the</strong> region within <strong>the</strong> bounds of <strong>the</strong> host<br />
community aspirations. These include:<br />
Familiarisation and Site Inspections<br />
Helping accredited industry and media personnel visit <strong>the</strong> region.<br />
Sales Visits<br />
Meeting <strong>the</strong> travel trade ei<strong>the</strong>r at your place or ours.<br />
<strong>Queenstown</strong> Convention Bureau (QCB)<br />
Offers impartial advice and facilitation of conferencing in this region.<br />

How to get to <strong>Queenstown</strong>..<br />
<strong>Queenstown</strong> is located in <strong>the</strong> South West of New Zealand on <strong>the</strong> 45th parallel. This beautiful town is nestled<br />
on <strong>the</strong> shores of Lake Wakatipu below <strong>the</strong> Remarkables mountain range.<br />
Getting Here<br />
Getting here is easy as <strong>the</strong> region is well served by major airlines.<br />
Air New Zealand and QANTAS fly direct from Sydney year round. Over <strong>the</strong> winter this service encompasses<br />
Brisbane and Melbourne. Pacific Blue also fly direct from Sydney and Brisbane.<br />
Domestically <strong>the</strong>re are several connections provided by Air New Zealand, Jet Star and Pacific Blue from New<br />
Zealand's main centre's; Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch<br />
Access by road is a wonderful scenic option - self drive or catch a scenic coach tour.
