Who are we? Destination Queenstown (DQ) is the regional tourism organisation responsible for the marketing of Queenstown as the Southern Hemisphere’s premier four season lake and alpine resort. DQ works with local businesses, including tourism operators, the hospitality industry, accommodation providers, retailers and service sectors to promote the region as the Southern Hemisphere’s premier, four season holiday destination. On an international level, DQ works closely with Tourism New Zealand and within long haul markets promotes the wider Southern Lakes region alongside neighbours Destination Fiordland and Lake Wanaka Tourism. What we do: DQ undertakes a variety of strategies to consistently market and promote the region within the bounds of the host community aspirations. These include: Familiarisation and Site Inspections Helping accredited industry and media personnel visit the region. Sales Visits Meeting the travel trade either at your place or ours.
