Undergraduate <strong>Prospectus</strong> 2009/10<br />

Payment <strong>of</strong> Fees<br />

i. Tuition <strong>and</strong> other University fees are due on the first day <strong>of</strong> the academic year.<br />

Privately-sponsored students who cannot pay full fees at the beginning <strong>of</strong> the academic year are<br />

required to pay at least 60% <strong>of</strong> the course load, if they wish by the set deadline.<br />

ii. First year privately-sponsored student who fails to pay the registration fee at the end <strong>of</strong><br />

the second week <strong>of</strong> the beginning <strong>of</strong> an academic year shall forfeit his/her place in the University<br />

iii. A continuing privately-sponsored student who shall not have paid fees by the end <strong>of</strong><br />

the Sixth week shall be de-registered.<br />

a. Student should complete paying all the University fees by the sixth week <strong>of</strong> a semester<br />

<strong>and</strong> be registered then.<br />

b. In case a student fails to raise enough money to pay for a full semester load a student<br />

can chose courses within the next first six weeks <strong>and</strong> make payment for the course load he/she<br />

can afford <strong>and</strong> get registered.<br />

c. The minimum course loads to be permitted under this arrangement should be 60% <strong>of</strong><br />

the total credit units for that semester.<br />

d. Student will not be allowed to pay University fees <strong>and</strong> register after the end <strong>of</strong> the sixth<br />

week <strong>of</strong> a semester.<br />

e. Only registered students will be allowed to use University facilities, to attend lecturers,<br />

do course work <strong>and</strong> sit for final examinations.<br />

f. That these measures should take effect from the beginning <strong>of</strong> 2006/07 academic year.<br />

Refund <strong>of</strong> Tuition Fees when a Student has withdrawn from Studies.<br />

A student who has been permitted to withdraw from studies shall be refunded the Tuition Fees<br />

already paid according to the following schedules:<br />

The time at which a Percentage <strong>of</strong> Students has withdrawn in the tuition fees a semester already<br />

paid to be refunded to the student<br />

By the End <strong>of</strong> the First Week <strong>of</strong> a Semester 100%<br />

By the End <strong>of</strong> the Second Week 80%<br />

By the End <strong>of</strong> the Third Week <strong>of</strong> a Semester 60/%<br />

By the End <strong>of</strong> the Fourth Week <strong>of</strong> the Semester<br />

40%<br />

By the End <strong>of</strong> the Fifth Week <strong>of</strong> a Semester 20%<br />

After the Fifth Week 0%<br />

Fees for Residence, Application, Faculty Requirements, Registration, Examinations, Identity Cards<br />

<strong>and</strong> the Guild charges are not refunded.<br />

In case an Academic Programme to which a student has been admitted is not conducted in a<br />

particular academic year, the University will refund the full tuition fees paid by the student.<br />
