Candidates are invited for the Walk-In-Interview in the above address on 28.02.2013
(Thursday) at 9.30 am for the post of Scientist-C on purely temporary and adhoc basis with
consolidated salary under the project “HIV Epidemiology Training Programme (HETP)”,
at NIE.

a) MBBS/BDS degree recognized by MCI/DCI (OR)
1 st class Master’s degree in Public Health / Epidemiology from a
recognized university
b) 4 years research/ teaching experience in public health/epidemiology
after obtaining essential qualification
a) MD (PSM or CM) or DNB (SPM) or Master’s degree/Doctorate in
Public Health/Epidemiology/Relevant field from a recognized university
b) Post doctoral research/teaching experience in relevant field in
recognized institute (s)
c) Knowledge of computer applications
40 years. Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per GOI rules
Rs.53,680 + HRA per month for medical persons and Rs. 41,396 +
HRA per month for non-medical persons (The salary may decrease or
increase from time to time as per the Orders from our Headquarters)
Give training and mentorship for HETP trainees
Provide technical and management oversight, and strategic thinking for
the development of the course and implementation of activities of
HETP
Teach courses in other public health training programs of NIE as per
his/her expertise and program requirement

The post/s is/are purely temporary which can be extended depending upon the
requirement for the project.
The selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointments at NIE or in
ICMR (or) for continuation of his/her services in any other project. Age limit is as per the age
on the date of interview. Age relaxation for the eligible candidates will be granted as per rule,
only on production of relevant / latest original certificates.
Prospective Candidates shall attend the Walk-in-interview with all original
Certificates, Testimonials, Curriculum Vitae, and Photo ID card issued by government
agency or school / college, with xerox copy of the certificates.
Candidates should submit four copies of the duly filled in application as per the
prescribed format given below.
Candidates who are not producing the Original Certificates at the time of interview
will not be considered. TA/DA will not be paid by NIE for attending the interview. The
Director/Selection Committee has the right to shortlist and prioritize the candidates based on
their application and interview. Candidates will not be entertained after 9.30 am.
