Overview<br />
• <strong>The</strong> <strong>Dubai</strong> <strong>Concert</strong> <strong>Committee</strong> was established 1996 under the kind patronage of His<br />
Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum to provide classical music concerts<br />
performed by internationally renowned musicians.<br />
• <strong>The</strong> <strong>Dubai</strong> <strong>Concert</strong> <strong>Committee</strong> is a non-profit, voluntary organization which is wholly<br />
dependent on the generosity of our sponsors; there is no admission charge to concerts<br />
- something unique in modern times. In addition to the <strong>Dubai</strong> Arts Culture and Arts<br />
Authority, we are supported by a range of local and international businesses.<br />
• <strong>The</strong> <strong>Dubai</strong> <strong>Concert</strong> <strong>Committee</strong> endeavors to attract highly reputed musicians. In each<br />
year’s agenda, the committee seeks to cover a range of composers, most periods of<br />
music, a selection of instruments and combinations, and musicians from several<br />
countries. Performances range in scale from a piano soloist to a chamber orchestra.<br />
• Ten concerts are held in most years, usually one per month a break in July and<br />
August. <strong>Concert</strong>s are usually scheduled for Sunday, Monday or Tuesday, and most<br />
are held at the <strong>Dubai</strong> Community <strong>The</strong>atre and Arts Centre (Mall of the Emirates).
