Employees Western Operations - Kuparuk Kent Ingalls Western Operations Supervisor ACS Start Date: 1995 Kent has participated in several major spills such as the Mile Post 400 Trans-Alaska Pipeline Spill in 2001. Prior to joining ACS, he worked out of the BP WOA environmental shop for six years. Barron Rutherford Lead Spill Technician ACS Start Date: 1995 Barron has worked directly for Alaska Clean Seas since 1995. He worked at ACS Base, Exploration Drilling, West Dock and most fields. Barron currently works as a Lead Tech in the Kuparuk Field. Prior to working for ACS Barron co-owned The M/V Nancy H and worked on contract for the Exxon Valdez Spill Response, he engaged in various marine charter projects, and commercial fished. “I am especially fortunate to have my lovely wife and three fantastic children”. Barron earned a Bachelors of Arts from The University of Southern California and holds a USCG 100 ton Master License. Bud Forbing Mechanic ACS Start Date: 1981 Bud has been with ACS longer than any other ACS employee! He has been involved with many major North Slope spills, as well as others around the state. He has served as a team member, team lead, heavy equipment operator, and on-scene commander. John Parson, STS Western Operations Supervisor ACS Start Date: 2000 John worked at CISPRI and SEAPRO for many years before joining ACS. John has been involved in numerous major spills serving as a spill technician to operations section chief. John recently earned the Safety Trained Supervisor certifcation. B.J. Beltz Lead Spill Technician ACS Start Date: 2012 BJ first contracted with ACS in 1993, joining ACS full time in 1995. He has filled various roles in the Operations, Logistics and Training Departments. BJ left ACS in 2001 and worked as a Commercial and Residential Construction Safety Coordinator and Carpenter. He was called to assist ACS during the Deep Water Horizon spill and spent 12 weeks working in Hopedale and Port Fourchon, Louisiana. BJ returned to the North Slope in the spring of 2011. Ed Gasque Mechanic ACS Start Date: 2001 Ed has provided support to several spills. His roles have included that of a spill responder, equipment operator, mechanic and fill-in for leads. Western Operations - Milne Point Neil Hermon Lead Spill Technician ACS Start Date: 1995 During a spill response Neil has filled the roles of laborer, equipment operator, on scene commander and post clean-up coordinator. Prior to ACS, Neil worked as an Environmental Technician for Veco. Rob Murray Lead Spill Technician ACS Start Date: 1997 Prior to ACS Rob worked for VRCA . He has participated in several large spills throughout Alaska and provided exploration coverage for ACS from the Colville Delta to Pt. Thomson. 30
Western Operations - Alpine Kelley Dawson Lead Spill Technician ACS Start Date: 2004 Kelly was the operations manager for Clean Rivers Cooperative in Portland, Oregon, before he joined ACS. Lewis Hiatt Lead Spill Technician ACS Start Date: 2009 Lewis was hired by ACS in May of 2010, but he wasn’t new to us. He worked 3 years as a CCI contractor in our marine department as a vessel operator and a technician in the winter drilling program. Prior to slope work, Lewis spent 25 years commercial fishing in southeast Alaska. Tim Orrell Support Technician ACS Start Date: 2009 Tim joined ACS in May of 2009. He was a mechanic at ACS Base for six months before moving over to the mechanic/ spill technician position at Alpine. Tim was contracted to ACS as a p.m. mechanic through CCI for one year before becoming a full-time employee with ACS. Kip Rusher Support Technician ACS Start Date: 2012 Kip worked as a PENCO contract mechanic at ACS Base for a year and a mechanic/ spill technician at Alpine for six months prior to his recent full time offer with ACS. Prior to his slope work, Kip worked in Big Lake, Alaska, as a marine mechanic. He has over 15 years experience in outboard and inboard engine repair. Kip has been involved in numerous spill clean-ups on the north slope. Mike Trefry Support Technician ACS Start Date: 2012 Mike joined ACS in September of 2012 with over 12 years of spill response experience. Prior to joining ACS Mike worked for CCI and was contracted to ACS. Mike started as a responder and has moved his way up to his current ACS position. He is also active in the fire and rescue departments at Alpine. Curtis Ahvakana Support Technician ACS Start Date: 2008 Curtis joined ACS as part of the two year ConocoPhillips internship program. Upon completion of the internship he became an ACS employee assigned to the Alpine facility. Prior to ACS, Curtis worked in Kuparuk for AES as a welder for 3 years. Western Operations - Pioneer Oooguruk Bill Blake Lead Spill Technician ACS Start Date: 2012 Before joining ACS Bill worked as a CCI contractor to the marine department and as a winter drilling spill technician. Bill also worked the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, the first phase of the Pt. Thomson project and as a warehouse/spill technician in Kuparuk. Prior to that he worked in the Alaska commercial fishing industry for 25 years. Justin Theriot Lead Spill Technician ACS Start Date: 2011 Justin started working spill response during the Selendang Ayu spill. He worked the GC2 spill on the slope and has been up here since. His experiences have included being a crew boat captain and a winter drilling technician. Justin comes from a commercial fishing background and holds a 100 ton license. 31
