Welcome!
Welcome to the 2011 North Texas Pony and Miniature horse sale. We have some
very nice ponies and miniature horses offered this year and the best selection to
date of double registered ASPC/AMHR horses. I am sure we have something for
everyone from proven show stock to backyard pets so be sure to get a bidders
number from the office before the sale starts so you can bid!
I also want to let everyone know that I will not be having the sale in 2012. I have
a very busy show schedule and not enough hours in the day to get everything
done. I certainly do appreciate everyone’s support of this sale which I started with
Harold Ford in 2002. We have sold some great ponies and horses through the ring
with many going on to earn championship titles and others finding lifetime homes
with loving families.
As always, if you cannot attend the sale in person and would like to place a proxy
bid, please contact me at Lmequine@peoplescom.net, or leave a message at 903-
967-2607 or text me at 903-497-1359.
Buyer Information
Buyers will need to provide photo id, with current address and phone number in
order to get a bidders number. Buyers (bidders) will need a number in order to
bid. Bidder numbers will be issued in the SALE OFFICE, the day of the sale. If
you will not be able to attend the sale in person but would still like to bid on an
animal please contact Leah Johnson directly.
Payment will be accepted in the form of cash, check, VISA or Mastercard. A 5%
buyers premium will be charged on purchases. The buyers premium will be waived
(not charged) for purchases made with cash or check. “Hot” checks will be prosecuted
to the full extent of the law!
Buyers will need their receipt showing that they have paid for their ponies/miniatures
before ponies/miniatures will be released for loading.
Sale stock will be available for viewing Friday afternoon and all day on Saturday.
It is highly recommended that you examine stock BEFORE they enter the sale
ring. The sellers will be there to answer your questions about their animals. Once
the final bid is accepted on an animal, said animal becomes the full responsibility
of the buyer!
North Texas Pony Sale, Leah Johnson, and its associates act as agent only on all
sells and are not responsible for buyer/seller error or misunderstanding.
Announcements made from the auctioneer stand will take precedence over printed
material in the catalog, so listen carefully and if you have a question please ask!
Broodmares selling as “exposed” or “believed to be in foal” means they are selling
bred but have not been vet checked in foal. Also, many bred mares selling will not
come with a live foal guarantee. ANY guarantees of any sort will between the
buyer and seller and cannot be enforced by the North Texas Pony Sale.
Color: Palomino Height:
Sire: Gold Mines Snow On The Mountain Dam: Lil Darlings Jubilees Little Bit Fancy
Parting with this filly is hard-she’s a grand daughter of my old driving mare-Flying W
Farms Bay Fancy. Gomer Pyle, Lady Di, Wally and several of my other National Grand
Champion driving minis were her grandkids or great grandkids. The palomino under pleasure
driving stallion Parnell Stables will show at this year’s AMHR Nationals is another
grandson-his dam and this filly’s are full sisters and the sires are half brothers. This little
girl should mature under 34", she will make a fine halter prospect and then a dynamic
driving mare.
halter points in AMHA and AMHR. Easy to haul, clip, bathe and tries hard to please in the
ring. He would make an oustanding youth or amateur show gelding. He looks black but is
showing gray hairs throughout his coat so will eventually gray like his sire. He has a very
nice head with tiny well set ears. He is friendly and gets along well stalled alone or with
another horse and he also does well in the pasture. Sami will be shown at the 2011 AMHR
Sulty is a beautiful bright red mare with socks, blaze and some minimal sabino markings.
Classic Halter Hall of Fame. Sultry is a super sweet broodmare that is easy to get along
with, foals and breeds back easily, easy to catch and the kids walk all around her, groom her
and she stands quietly for them. She has always settled on the first cycle, has been attended
at birth and is great with humans and her foals, milks heavily and is an excellent mother.
She is healthy and sound, has not foundered and is ready to move on to a new farm. She is
