ع while explaining the<br />
phrase ‘That their flesh would have been cut with scissors’<br />
states that they will wish to have faced such diseases in the<br />
world which needed to be operated in such a way that their<br />
skins would have been cut during surgeries so they could<br />
amass the similar reward which is being awarded to those who<br />
had faced calamities and diseases. (Mirqāt-ul Manājīḥ, pp. 424, vol. 2)<br />
Māl-o-daulat kī mujĥ ko tu kašrat Na day<br />
Tāj-o-Takht-e-Shāĥī aur ḥukūmat Na day<br />
Mujĥ ko dunyā mayn bay shuck tu Shu-ĥrat Na day<br />
Tujĥ say ‘Aṭṭār terā talabgār hay<br />
(I do not wish to hoard wealth, I do not wish to rule the state, I do not<br />
beg for respect and fame but I (‘Attar) seek only you from you.)<br />
Illuminated Graves<br />
It is narrated that a saint <br />
ع saw Sayyidunā Hassan bin<br />
Żakwaan in his dream after one year of his death.<br />
The saint asked him, ‘Which graves are more illuminated?’<br />
Shaykh Hassan <br />
ع replied, ‘Of those who suffered<br />
calamities in the world.’ (Tanbīĥ-ul- Mughtarīn, pp. 166)<br />
