extraordinary short films shot by those affected by
personality disorder in different walks of life.

Emergence has chosen October 2011 to create
awareness of personality disorder (PD) and raise
much needed funds to continue to educate
and fight the stigma associated with this much
maligned aand misunderstood mental health
condition.
We are delighted to be working with the
Resurgence Theatre Company and Tony Gammidge
during our first PD Fundraising Month. The four
performances are helping raise valuable funds to
help Emergence to Change Attitudes and Build
Lives for all those affected by personality disorder.
Who is Emergence?
Emergence is a service userled
organisation supporting
all people affected by
personality disorder (PD)
including service users,
carers, family and friends
and professionals. Our vision
at Emergence is to make a
life changing difference for
everyone affected by PD
through support, advice and
education.
Who is Resurgence?
Resurgence is a professional
theatre company committed
to the production of
quality ensemble work.
They aim to explore
urgent contemporary
issues alongside refreshing
interpretations of existing
texts, producing work
that is provocative and
entertaining.
What is personality disorder?
The term personality disorder is used to describe
problematic ways of coping with everyday life and dealing
with self and others. Personality disorders are complex
and there are different types including borderline PD
(BPD). People affected by PD may present with a range
of physical, mental health and social problems such as
substance misuse, depression and suicide risk, housing
problems and long-standing interpersonal problems.
