Children's cancer wards are full of amazing children whose
strength in such horrible situations touches everyone. With
your support, we help keep the magic alive for hundreds of
children who need your help every year.
Just walking through the children's cancer ward is
heartbreaking. Little people almost lost in big beds, many
with no hair, framing their tiny faces that have been
destroyed by necessary chemotherapy. Tubes hanging
down from their chests and out of their noses and brothers,
sisters, parents sitting waiting hour after hour. all of this, it's
their brave smiles and the innocent trust that they radiate.
Today 10 children will be diagnosed with cancer, most
will need high quality dental hygiene, some like Reece
will need to have loads of teeth removed, through no
fault of there own.

Hello,
Trycare are taking part in a national campaign to make 600 children World Record
Holders and we want your Little Patients to join us and have some fun at the same
time!
We don’t want your money and there’s very little for you to do.
The current world record for the longest dolly chain is 2000 metres and we’re going to
create 4000 metres by using an estimated 35,000 paperdoll figures that need colouring
in. This number represents every child diagnosed with cancer over the last 10 years!
We know that children in your waiting room often get fidgety and even bored – they’re
kids! So, we’ve enclosed paperdoll figures for you to photocopy or download from
www.trycare.co.uk, for them to colour. Also a waiting room poster. Their parents need
to sign the permission slip and the kids may even become World Record Breakers!
Just return the signed sheets to us on a regular basis and we’ll do the rest. We think
your young patients (and parents) will love you for it, plus your practice gets its own
certificate to display in the waiting room with pride.
OH yes, the children get one too... !
This gives you a terrific opportunity to do some local PR for the practice and hopefully
we can help the waiting room be a fun, calmer environment for everyone.
The world record attempt is being led by Little Heroes, a small charity that provides
toys and craft activities to children under-going distressing treatment for cancer. They
hope to generate some cash for the kids via a Just Giving link, but no-one has to
contribute anything – it’s all completely FREE. More information about the charity can
