4. Results and interpretations
• B) place that computers are used from: 72% - <strong>Internet</strong> cafes
(⇒high penetration of IT in students´everyday life + fairly good
offer on the I&CT market); 88% - schools (⇒ the Romanian
education system makes available I&CT on a good scale);
42.6% - at home (⇒reasonable rate of I&CT penetration on the
Romanian market; in higher education the level is higher than
the average one) – a paid service which covers a I&C need
• C) frequency of <strong>Internet</strong> accessing: more then half - 56% - use
<strong>Internet</strong> on a daily basis (25.3%) or several times a week
(30.6%); daily to weekly frequency – 90.6%!
• Average number of hours of of <strong>Internet</strong> access – 72% of our
subjects access <strong>Internet</strong> services less than 7 hours per week
(⇒non experienced consumers but also non-addicted ;-) )
