61-story Museum Plaza (pictured) slated
for completion. The city’s central business
district will see two other projects open in
2010 – Iron Quarter and City Center. The
$50 million Iron Quarter development will
be a pedestrian-oriented, mixed use luxury
lifestyle and retail center in what was once
Louisville’s whiskey district. City Center is an
expansion of the Fourth Street Live! entertainment
district. This $250 million development
district will bring retail stores, a movie theatre,
a boutique hotel, restaurants and a venue
for minor-league hockey. These are just four
projects, under construction or announced,
that are part of the $1.6 billion investment in
the city’s infrastructure.
