high school teens for Mass and<br />
dinner out at IHOP in Germantown<br />
on Saturday, July 21 st . We’ll be<br />
attending <strong>the</strong> 5:00pm Mass <strong>the</strong>n<br />
make our way over to IHOP for a<br />
breakfast-dinner. (NOTE: each person is responsible<br />
for <strong>the</strong>ir own meal)! Please coordinate your own<br />
transportation for this event. RSVP to <strong>the</strong> Rectory<br />
by July 18 th for planning purposes!<br />
**HOT! HOT! HOT! Join Youth Ministry for<br />
our first ever chili-cookoff! Bring a pot of your<br />
secret recipe chili for an official judging! Prizes<br />
will be awarded! Afterwards, stick around for an<br />
outdoor movie! *Please bring a side<br />
dish to share if you haven’t mastered<br />
your chili-making skills! Sunday,<br />

day at <strong>the</strong> park! On Tuesday, August 7 th we’re<br />
headed to Hershey Park for a day of amusement!<br />

off <strong>the</strong> YM table and return it to <strong>the</strong> Rectory with<br />
$70! The cost covers admission, transportation,<br />
breakfast and ONE meal ticket. Registrations<br />
accepted until July 25 th , on a first-come first-served<br />

GUIDES NEEDED AT THE NATIONAL<br />
SHRINE - Serving as a guide or receptionist at<br />
<strong>the</strong> Basilica of <strong>the</strong> National Shrine of <strong>the</strong> Immaculate<br />
Conception is a beautiful ministry that offers an<br />
opportunity to share one's faith with o<strong>the</strong>rs. It also<br />
enriches <strong>the</strong> experience of those who come to <strong>the</strong><br />

WOLDWIDE MARRIAGE ENCOUNTER<br />
Today we celebrate <strong>the</strong> Nativity of Saint John <strong>the</strong><br />
Baptist. Just like John <strong>the</strong> Baptist each one of<br />
us has been fearfully, wonderfully made by God<br />
for a special purpose. Are we each trying every<br />
day to live God’s plan for our lives? Find out how<br />
you can more fully live God’s plan for your<br />
marriage by attending one of <strong>the</strong> next Worldwide<br />
Marriage Encounter Weekends in <strong>the</strong> Archdiocese<br />
of Washington, September 21-22, or November 16-<br />

SUMMER TOURS AT THE FRANCISCAN<br />
MONASTERY - Ready for a break? Visit <strong>the</strong><br />
Franciscan Monastery of <strong>the</strong> Holy Land in America<br />
this summer for Mass, a tour of <strong>the</strong> church,<br />
replicas of Holy Land shrines and catacombs, or<br />
a peaceful walk through <strong>the</strong> rosary portico or<br />
gardens. Daily tours on <strong>the</strong> hour, <strong>from</strong> 9:00am-<br />
3:00pm (no tours at noon), and on Sundays,<br />
1:00pm-3:00pm. The monastery is located at 1400<br />
