Arts Group present “Raven,” an original,<br />
experimental per<strong>for</strong>mance piece based on<br />
the poem by <strong>Ukrainian</strong> poet Oleh<br />
Lysheha. It is directed by Virlana Tkacz<br />
and created in collaboration with artists<br />
from America and Ukraine. “Raven” features<br />
Andrew Colteaux and an English<br />
translation of the poetry by Ms. Tkacz and<br />
Wanda Phipps. Per<strong>for</strong>mances are on<br />
Thurs<strong>day</strong>-Satur<strong>day</strong> at 7:30 p.m. and<br />
Sun<strong>day</strong> at 2:30 p.m. at La MaMa<br />

NEW YORK: <strong>The</strong> Shevchenko Scientific<br />
Society invites all to a viewing of the documentary<br />
film “Forgive Me, Poliske”<br />
(Kyiv, 2004), which is dedicated to the<br />
25th anniversary of the Chornobyl tragedy.<br />
<strong>The</strong>re will also be a photo exhibition<br />
on the subject by Volodymyr Davydenko.<br />

Group Cultural Fund completes its 2010-<br />
2011 Sun<strong>day</strong> Music Series with a recital<br />
by acclaimed <strong>Ukrainian</strong> American concert<br />
pianist Natalya Shkoda. Ms. Shkoda<br />
returns to Washington with a new program<br />
of “Sonatas and Etudes,” featuring the<br />
East Coast American premiere of the First<br />
Piano Sonata by <strong>Ukrainian</strong> 20th century<br />
composer Viktor Kosenko, Kosenko’s<br />
Passacaglia from “Eleven Etudes in the<br />
Form of Old Dances,” as well as works by<br />
Scarlatti and Rachmaninoff. <strong>The</strong> concert<br />
is at 3 p.m. at <strong>The</strong> Lyceum, 201 S.<br />
