Career & Professional Experience:
Co‐heads the Dispute Resolution practice in Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow. Qualified in Malaysia,
Singapore and England. Appointed Senior Counsel, Singapore's equivalent to the Queen's Counsel, in
January 2011. Familiar with all methods of Dispute Resolution, including litigation, arbitration and
mediation. Handles commercial disputes, including matters connected to international trade,
commodities contracts, distribution and licensing agreements, company law, insurance, construction
and maritime. Lectured international business transactions, contract law and shipping law at the
National University of Singapore and taught international arbitration law at the Singapore Management
University. Served as a legal officer of the United Nations Compensation Commission in Geneva and was
a SIAC‐CIAC Observer to the UNCITRAL Working Group on Arbitration.
Legal Knowledge relating to Shipping, Arbitration Practice and Procedure:
Acts as counsel and as arbitrator in ad hoc as well as institutional arbitrations. Panel arbitrator for ICDR,
SIAC, SCMA, KLRCA, CIETAC and CMAC. Also sits in ICC, LMAA and ad hoc arbitrations. Handled many
arbitration‐related applications in court. Panel adjudicator for FIDRec (Financial Industry Dispute
Resolution Centre) appointed to hear structured products disputes. A Panel member of the Income Tax
Review Board and the Maintenance of Parents Tribunal.

Legal Studies, the International Journal of Shipping Law and the Singapore Academy of Law Journal.
