Co‐heads the Dispute Resolution practice in Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow. Qualified in Malaysia,<br />

Singapore and England. Appointed Senior Counsel, Singapore's equivalent to the Queen's Counsel, in<br />

January 2011. Familiar with all methods of Dispute Resolution, including litigation, arbitration and<br />

mediation. Handles commercial disputes, including matters connected to international trade,<br />

commodities contracts, distribution and licensing agreements, company law, insurance, construction<br />

and maritime. Lectured international business transactions, contract law and shipping law at the<br />

National University of Singapore and taught international arbitration law at the Singapore Management<br />

University. Served as a legal officer of the United Nations Compensation Commission in Geneva and was<br />

a SIAC‐CIAC Observer to the UNCITRAL Working Group on Arbitration.<br />

Legal Knowledge relating to Shipping, Arbitration Practice and Procedure:<br />

Acts as counsel and as arbitrator in ad hoc as well as institutional arbitrations. Panel arbitrator for ICDR,<br />

SIAC, <strong>SC</strong>MA, KLRCA, CIETAC and CMAC. Also sits in ICC, LMAA and ad hoc arbitrations. Handled many<br />

arbitration‐related applications in court. Panel adjudicator for FIDRec (Financial Industry Dispute<br />

Resolution Centre) appointed to hear structured products disputes. A Panel member of the Income Tax<br />

Review Board and the Maintenance of Parents Tribunal.<br />

and Commercial Law Quarterly, the Asian International Arbitration Journal, the Singapore Yearbook of<br />

Legal Studies, the International Journal of Shipping Law and the Singapore Academy of Law Journal.<br />

Papers on the International Sale of Goods have been published in the leading CISG Database of Pace Law<br />

School. Country Commentator for Singapore in Tetley’s Marine Cargo Claims (4th ed).
