<strong>International</strong> <strong>investors</strong> <strong>focus</strong> on temporary work with students
Seventure Partners secures STUDITEMPS multi-million growth impulse after completion of
financing round. b-to-v Partners AG and Raffay are also involved in the investment.
Cologne, June 29, 2012: Investments secure growth, growth secures advantage in competition –
especially for innovative business models. Following this equation, STUDITEMPS GmbH, which
specializes in temporary work with students, managed to raise several million Euros to further
expand the company. „The market has rewarded our development and confides in the sustainability
of our idea and our vision of becoming the largest and best known employer of students in
Germany“ interprets Benjamin Roos, managing director and founder of the cologne-based company
the financing round of approximately three million Euros completed in June.
Seventure Partners, a French Paris-based company, which is also represented on the German market
through its office in Munich, has invested in more than 100 companies since 1997 and is now lead
investor of STUDITEMPS after investing 2.3 million Euros. Dr. Wolfgang Krause of Seventure, who is
also a member of the STUDITEMPS- advisory board, explains that the investment was made due to
the the outstanding performance of the personnel service company over the last few months:
„Besides all legitimate confidence in a bright future of temporary work with students in Germany,
the best argument for the funding finally was the enormous growth rate of the past 18 months.
Through this, the company and its underlying business idea has established itself on the market.“
With the help of the investment it is now the goal to support the next leading steps of
STUDITEMPS.
As another new investor, the Swiss holding company b-to-v Partners AG is now also involved.
Hamburg-based Raffay & Cie GmbH, which has already acquired STUDITEMPS GmbH shares in
the past financing round in early 2011 is contributing once more. Andreas Wels, who is also founder
and managing director of the personnel service company explains delighted: „The <strong>investors</strong> like the
concept of the online administration of students, connected with offline work effort, of course. Yet,
the best arguments were our economic success and the proven performance of ambitious growth
forecasts.“
With nearly 100 employees, STUDITEMPS GmbH, which started out as a classical online start-up
in 2008, has also developed gradually personell-wise. Besides Benjamin F. Roos, the managing
board consists of co-founder Andreas Wels and Eckhard Köhn, who joined in 2011. Through the
first product – the job platform www.jobmensa.de – STUDITEMPS has generated a network of
more than 250,000 online- registered students within the last four years.
Based on this, in October 2010 the management started a – until then - unique model in Germany:
“temporary work with students”. Besides its headquarters in Cologne's Friesenviertel,
STUDITEMPS is meanwhile located in 4 cities within Germany with offices in Berlin, Hamburg
and Frankfurt / Main. More offices in Munich and Stuttgart are planned.
