Description <strong>of</strong> the event<br />

Factors <strong>of</strong> economic globalization, as well as the recent global f<strong>in</strong>ancial crisis have<br />

made significant changes to the development <strong>of</strong> the world. <strong>Kazakhstan</strong> is one <strong>of</strong> the few<br />

countries <strong>in</strong> the world, which not only successfully overcame the negative effects <strong>of</strong> these<br />

events, but was also able to obta<strong>in</strong> social and economic benefits <strong>of</strong> these global changes.<br />

Over 20 years <strong>of</strong> its <strong>in</strong>dependence <strong>Kazakhstan</strong> has been able to provide political stability,<br />

<strong>in</strong>tegration <strong>in</strong>to <strong>in</strong>ternational economic processes, to create a legal framework <strong>in</strong> all<br />

areas, ensure stable economic growth and <strong>of</strong> course, to attract more than U.S. $ 180 billion<br />

<strong>in</strong>to foreign direct <strong>in</strong>vestment. <strong>Kazakhstan</strong> is the leader among CIS countries to attract<br />

foreign direct <strong>in</strong>vestment per capita.<br />

<strong>In</strong> order to ensure further development <strong>of</strong> a competitive economy and <strong>in</strong>dustrial<br />

modernization, <strong>Kazakhstan</strong> adopted the State <strong>Program</strong>me for accelerated <strong>in</strong>dustrial<strong>in</strong>novative<br />

development <strong>in</strong> 2010<strong>in</strong> which over two years <strong>in</strong> operation 389 <strong>in</strong>dustrial<br />

projects, <strong>of</strong> which 130 projects reached its design capacity. All this shows the system policy<br />

<strong>of</strong> the state to build the competitiveness <strong>of</strong> <strong>Kazakhstan</strong>'s economy to world markets.<br />

Today, <strong>Kazakhstan</strong> has created all necessary conditions for successful implementation <strong>of</strong><br />

projects <strong>in</strong>volv<strong>in</strong>g foreign <strong>in</strong>vestment. Established <strong>in</strong> 2010, the Agency «KAZNEX INVEST»,<br />

is a specialized state‐owned company designed to provide comprehensive assistance to<br />

foreign <strong>in</strong>vestors <strong>in</strong> their projects <strong>in</strong> <strong>Kazakhstan</strong>.<br />

Over 2 years <strong>of</strong> the Agency «KAZNEX INVEST» are turned <strong>in</strong>itiative with more than<br />

200 foreign <strong>in</strong>vestors held more than 30 <strong>in</strong>ternational <strong>in</strong>vestment activities. Especially<br />

active countries are Germany, France, Korea, Ch<strong>in</strong>a, Turkey, Japan, Malaysia and others.<br />

This road show is the first event, which is entirely devoted to the presentation <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>in</strong>vestment opportunities <strong>in</strong> <strong>Kazakhstan</strong>, as well as priority sectors <strong>in</strong> which foreign<br />

<strong>in</strong>vestors are <strong>in</strong>vited to implement projects. Foreign <strong>in</strong>vestors will have the opportunity to<br />

get acqua<strong>in</strong>ted with the economic development <strong>of</strong> <strong>Kazakhstan</strong>, as well as plans for the<br />

future, be able to directly negotiate with the competent person responsible for the<br />

development <strong>of</strong> priority sectors, as well as get acqua<strong>in</strong>ted with <strong>in</strong>vestment opportunities <strong>in</strong><br />

<strong>Kazakhstan</strong> <strong>in</strong> terms <strong>of</strong> entry <strong>in</strong>to the Customs Union, the market is today is 170 million.<br />
