Notes from the Clubhouse
Our Staff would like to take a moment to express our sympathy to the family of
L. Wayne Moore. Mr. Moore’s parents were Charter Members and he was a member for
24 years, which I am sure made the MGCC a special place for him. He will be missed.
July was another great month! Thanks to all of you, the membership, who have
come out and enjoyed the facilities so far this summer. It has been a pleasure getting to
know everyone and I would like to thank you for all of the feedback that we have
received. I would like to encourage you all to continue to pass on to me both the positive
as well as the negative because that is the only way that I can correct any issues that may arise in order to make this the best club
possible.
We have more great events planned for August and September… On August 7th, we will be hosting our First Sunday
Brunch again. We have seen nice attendance for this event in recent months and I would like to encourage you to join us again!
On August 20th, we are holding a pool party from 5:00-9:00. There will be games and a buffet with kid friendly foods
in the pool area, but if you would like to sneak away, we will have a nice buffet on the South Patio where you can have a
cocktail and a “Getaway Dinner.”
The Men’s Calcutta will take place the Weekend of August 25th-28th. The Draft Party will be in the South Porch on
Thursday, Dinner-Auction on Friday and the Golf Events on Saturday and Sunday.
We have a plethora of events planned on Labor Day Weekend starting with Couples Golf on Friday night, pool party
and dinner buffet featuring a whole roasted hog on Saturday, Couples Event on Sunday and the Men’s Holiday Event on
Monday. Please mark your calendar for these great Holiday Weekend Events and join us!
