Notes from the <strong>Club</strong>house<br />
Our Staff would like to take a moment to express our sympathy to the family of<br />
L. Wayne Moore. Mr. Moore’s parents were Charter Members and he was a member for<br />
24 years, which I am sure made the MGCC a special place for him. He will be missed.<br />
July was another great month! Thanks to all of you, the membership, who have<br />
come out and enjoyed the facilities so far this summer. It has been a pleasure getting to<br />
know everyone and I would like to thank you for all of the feedback that we have<br />
received. I would like to encourage you all to continue to pass on to me both the positive<br />
as well as the negative because that is the only way that I can correct any issues that may arise in order to make this the best club<br />
possible.<br />
We have more great events planned for <strong>August</strong> and September… On <strong>August</strong> 7th, we will be hosting our First Sunday<br />
Brunch again. We have seen nice attendance for this event in recent months and I would like to encourage you to join us again!<br />
On <strong>August</strong> 20th, we are holding a pool party from 5:00-9:00. There will be games and a buffet with kid friendly foods<br />
in the pool area, but if you would like to sneak away, we will have a nice buffet on the South Patio where you can have a<br />
cocktail and a “Getaway Dinner.”<br />
The Men’s Calcutta will take place the Weekend of <strong>August</strong> 25th-28th. The Draft Party will be in the South Porch on<br />
Thursday, Dinner-Auction on Friday and the <strong>Golf</strong> Events on Saturday and Sunday.<br />
We have a plethora of events planned on Labor Day Weekend starting with Couples <strong>Golf</strong> on Friday night, pool party<br />
and dinner buffet featuring a whole roasted hog on Saturday, Couples Event on Sunday and the Men’s Holiday Event on<br />
Monday. Please mark your calendar for these great Holiday Weekend Events and join us!<br />
