Mission
To educate and support all
students with high expectations
academically, socially and emotionally.
Vision
To create passion for learning and for life.

We will develop genuine and authentic relationships with all
parents, students and the community.
We believe in the power and effectiveness of teaming to
meet the needs of students through small learning
communities, based on the principles of school within a
school.
We believe all classes must have a defined, viable, and
rigorous standards-based curriculum.
We believe the best interest of our students must be the
driving force in all of our decisions.

Rancho Pico Junior High
We opened our doors in 2004.
Our initial enrollment was 652 students.
West Ranch’s first freshman class was housed at RP.
We had no gymnasium.
Our population has steadily grown to 1,000 students
in grades 7 and 8.
Rancho Pico earned the California Distinguished
Schools designation in 2009 and we are currently in
the process for it again!
