Questionnaire about UK wild food collection
Information collated in this questionnaire will form part of an Ethnobotany MSc research project
conducted through Kent University, by Lisa Fenton. The aim of this research is to investigate factors
that influence the increasing interest in wild plant food and its consumption in the UK.
Please complete this questionnaire regardless of whether you are a wild food fanatic or just an
armchair enthusiast. The broader the spectrum of response the better, providing you are actively
interested in wild food, I would like to hear from you. All information will be treated as confidential.
My aims and objectives are as follows –
• To understand what motivates people to learn about, collect and eat wild foods in Britain.
• To discover how they learn about edible wild plants.
• To look at what are the most popular wild foods and whether people would / do purchase wild food.
This questionnaire can be filled in as word document and emailed to info@woodsmoke.uk.com. If
preferred, it can be printed, filled in by pen, and posted to: Woodsmoke Questionnaire, PO Box 45,
Cockermouth, CA13 9WB.
I would be so grateful if you could try to complete and return this form as soon as you possibly can,
as I only have a week or so to collate this data. My deadline for this phase of research is the 4 th July!
