‘Not Yet Begun to Fight’<br />
Naval <strong>Medical</strong> Center San Diego (NMCSD) hosts a screening of the documentary “Not Yet Begun to Fight” in the auditorium. The film follows a group of<br />
wounded, ill and injured (WII) service members fighting to pursue activities they once enjoyed prior to being wounded in combat. The film features several<br />
of NMCSD’s WII patients and various scenes were filmed at NMCSD.<br />

Wounded Warrior climbs a rock wall<br />

(NMCSD) Marine Wounded Warrior Battalion-West detachment, climbs a<br />
rock wall during NMCSD’s staff, wounded, ill and injured patients, and family<br />
appreciation day. The event, sponsored by The Gary Sinise Foundation,<br />
featured a concert with Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band, a performance by<br />
the band Stolen Silver, a barbecue lunch provided by celebrity chef Robert<br />
Irvine, appearances by the Cirque du Soleil Street Team and special guests<br />
from the television show CSI: NY.
