George Muller (1805-1898) - “God has given me a mission field right here, and I will live and die in it.” George
Müller stared at the beggar girl. She was no older than 5 and was piggybacking her little brother. Her mother had
died in the cholera epidemic sweeping England. Her father had never returned from the mines. Standing i n the
muddy street, this little girl gave a face to Bristol's countless orphans. With scarcely enough food or money for his
own family, George opened his heart & home. Sustained by God's provision, the Müller house “Breakfast Club” of
thirty orphans grew to five large houses that ultimately over ten thousand children would call home. George Müller
trusted God with a depth rarely seen. His faith and generosity set a standard for Christians of all generations.
5¼”x 8” paperback, 205 pgs.
This book contains 437 illustrations – 43 in color, plus 250 covers for the Saturday Evening Post. Documents the
life & work of an artist who has portrayed the 'American man' – his dreams, triumphs, failures, pleasures & trials--
with sure perfection and obvious affection. Visit with Rockwell at his home and studio and see exactly how he
created his famous Post covers, and dozens of anecdotes told by the artist himself. All the many sides of Rockwell's
art are described & documented: his portraits and unending search for the right model; the technical tricks he uses in
painting; what paintings have given him the greatest satisfaction; the often unpredictable reactions of the American
people to the Post covers; his superb murals, calendars, advertisements, book & magazine illustrations. The color
illustrations include Rockwell's most famous works: The Four Freedoms, the April Fools' Day cover (in which he
deliberately planted 45 mistakes), the Willie Gillis series, a homecoming Marine, the charming charwoman, and
many, many more spanning from the WWII years to 1970. 9”x 12” hardcover, 208 pgs.
This book is straight talk from a local high school teacher and homeschool father who cares about the national crisis
in our educational system. With one foot in each world, he examines life at school and the inexhaustible
opportunities for learning outside it. The most important lesson he has to teach is that; family matters.
