Manufacturing is an economic activity that has been fast growing in the last years.<br />
The <strong>Guaymas</strong> – Empalme metro area has 3 industrial parks working mainly in the production<br />
<strong>of</strong> components for the aerospace, medical and automotive industries, generating over 10,000<br />
jobs.<br />
We also have a very prosperous sea food processing sector mainly for sardine and shrimp that<br />
employs several thousand people and exports worldwide.

Followed later by HA’s Oosterdam, Zaandam and Statendam<br />
as well as Royal Caribbean’s Azamara Journey<br />
This year building will begin <strong>of</strong> a cruise terminal in Puerto<br />
Peñasco, creating the Sea <strong>of</strong> Cortez route that could result in<br />
weekly arrivals into <strong>Guaymas</strong>
