Position: Builder Market Manager
Department of Labor Classification:
Pay Status: Salary
Administrative: Exempt
Purpose of Position: Managing all aspects of sales and follow up to builders/remodelers within
a specific geographic territory. This position involves a wide variety of duties including, but not
limited to sales, advertising, marketing, delivery and accounting.
Essential Job Functions:
Prospecting
Account Sales
Routine Sales Calls
Territory Marketing
Territory Advertising
Maintaining and growing relationships within trade associations
Facilitate staff meetings
Work closely with all departments within company
Gather competitive information
Other Functions:
Job site survey
Complete paperwork
Audit work of Builder Sales staff to make sure product for sales are current and is available for client
deadlines
Participates in trade shows, parade of homes and corporate events
Direct sales to end users
Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Product Sales & Marketing Manager
Essential Job Requirements
4-5 years experience in Sales or Business related field
2 years in building industry
Computer knowledge and skills with the ability to learn First Supply’s business system
Ability to interact & influence effectively with customers and staff
Ability to be self motivated
Drug test with negative results on employment offer
Drug testing will be conducted for reasonable suspicion and after some accidents thereafter
Ability to be bonded as defined by First Supply Group’s fidelity bond insurance carrier
Satisfactory score on the Wonderlic Personnel Test
Valid drivers license and a driving record which meets underwriting standards
Ability to read, speak, understand and write English
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure
Attendance on a regular and consistent basis
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking and sitting
Frequent talking and hearing
Constant use of near and far vision
Constant use of keyboard
Occasional reaching, pulling and crouching
Can involve very physical, delivery, loading, unloading and installation of product when necessary
