You can use these if you are careful with a hand held hobby tool to drill the holes in PC boards (unlike tungsten carbide bits that break instantly if not used in a drill press). Of course tungsten carbide is sharper and harder than these, however we find these tiny steel bits to be great for drilling PC boards when you don’t have access to a drill press. Comes in a small metal box inside of cardboard packaging which will have stains on it (drill bits are coated with oil for protection). G17294 $5.00/set. Ultra Thin Cell Phone Microphone These tiny microphones type ERBSXK1079654 were made for use in cell phones. They have a special conductive elastometer connector in the easy to peel off rubber boot. When you peel off the boot two tiny gold plated surfaces are exposed which it appears you could easily solder to. We have no data on these, however, they are brand new and are probably the smallest microphone we have ever seen. Size 0.23” Dia x 0.06” Thick. G17276 $1.29 ea. It has 460 holes for components and 72 holes for mounting 8 pin, 10 pin and up to 20 pin ICs. This one is very handy for almost all prototyping needs. Makes prototyping IC circuits a snap. Battery Operated High Voltage Generator This high voltage generator PC board packs a whallop. It operates from 3VDC at 120mA (battery power) and charges a 0.015µF 2KV capacitor to about 2000VDC in an instant. It was made for a portable bug zapper! When you short across the leads connected to the capacitor you hear a pop and create a spark. Looks like it would be great for use in all kinds of high voltage applications. Size about 2.4”L x 1.2”W x 0.75”H. We have no data, schematics, etc, we just know that you connect (+) 3VDC to the white lead near the transformer and (–) to the green lead. Board has been coated with a high voltage insulation coating. You should not buy this unless you are familiar with working with high voltages and you should be careful to take all safety precautions when using this board.
