All are welcome to Wednesday breakfast meetings preparing
for Sunday worship, from 19th January in NCH at
8am.
Saturday 22 nd January ALL ARE WELCOME to a day with
Canon John Kiddle – Diocesan Mission Officer – who
will be helping the whole team to do some forward thinking,
and looking towards our ‘Mission Action Plan’. Further
details soon, but do put this date in your diary.
A DATE FOR YOUR DIARY – Sunday January 23 rd at
6.30pm in St. Mary’s – Celebration Choral Evensong as
Coralie’s last service in the Team, followed by drinks and
nibbles in NCH. More details after Christmas but please
keep the date free.
Coralie’s Licensing at Eaton Bray will be on Tuesday 22nd
February at 8pm. Her last Sunday at St Mary’s will be 16th
January and her last Sunday in the Team will be 23rd January.

Football: It'll soon be half way through the season and if
you look on www.churchfootfootball.co.uk you will see all
the details of our teams' progress. The league is getting
stronger year by year. The first team are holding onto a mid
league position in the first division and the reserve team (in
only their second season) are trying hard to make headway
in the second division. There are now over 35 players
signed up for the season. St Mary's FC is welcoming and
friendly so if you would like to play or join in the training
sessions we would love to see you. Please contact Steve

available on the table by the Bookstall for those without

St Mary’s Christmas Card: You may remember that up
until two years ago we used to have a giant Christmas card
made by the people in Danesbury which we signed to all
our friends at St Mary’s and then donated the amount we
would have spent on all the cards to the Church. There is
now a board available in New Church House where you
can put up your own card for all your friends in St Mary’s
and then donate the savings to St Mary’s.

for your hard work in ensuring our Church Christmas
Cards and the Advent Windows leaflets were delivered

We warmly welcome all our visitors to this Service
of Parish Communion and hope

young children with you, they are very welcome to join
the Crèche and Junior Church Groups meeting in New

Candlelit Compline
Wednesday 8th December
at 9.00pm in St Mary’s
Compline is a quiet, reflective service with a
Meditation focusing on the themes of Advent.
The Time for God Group will meet for an Advent
Celebration on Friday 10th December at 11am at the
home of Margot Kenworthy, 23 Bluebells, Welwyn.
Coralie McCluskey will lead a discussion on her
sermon ‘From Bethlehem to the Foot of the Cross’-
originally preached as one of the Series of Summer
evensongs. This will be followed by a bring and share

Saturdays December 11th & 18th in St Mary’s New

Next Sunday, 12th December, is the Third Sunday of
Advent. David Munchin will preside at Holy Communion
at 8am. There will be Parish Communion at 9.30am.

be at 6.30pm in St Mary’s led by Usha Hull.
The next meeting of the Church Women’s Fellowship
is on Tuesday 14th December at 2.30pm in New Church
House when there will be Christmas Music,
Carols and Readings.
Pram Service: The next Pram Service will be on
Wednesday, 15th December, at 2pm in St Mary’s.
We will be attempting to tell the Christmas story
with the children - appropriate costumes welcome.
