Further information about Turvassa Tiellä campaign: www.turvassatiella.fi Further information about FIA Action for Road Safety campaign: http://www.fia.com/node/123 17.2 Start Order Selection and FIA Press Conference Start positions for the P1 and P2 drivers will be chosen after the Qualifying stage on Wednesday 31 July 2013 at 21.00 on the stage in Service Park Paviljonki. All P1 and P2 drivers shall arrive to the selection driving their rally car. On the stage, the driver shall switch off the engine, step out of the car and, following instructions from the master of ceremonies (MC), choose his starting position from the video screen. After this, the drivers shall drive off the stage and follow the given route back to service, except those invited to the FIA Pre-Event Press Conference. Any drivers, co-drivers, P3 drivers or members of the team management invited to the FIA Pre-Event Press Conference will be given more information by the FIA Media Delegate. They shall arrive to the stage after the start position selection, when the actual Press Conference will take place at 21.30. This will also be done in front of the spectators, contrary to normal WRC procedures. The media will have their own reserved area for easy access to drivers. 17.3 Rally Hall of Fame Interview Four-time World Rally Champion Tommi Mäkinen is among the latest inductees to the Rally Hall of Fame. Inducted in January 2013 together with Björn Waldegård and Andrew Cowan, Mäkinen will be interviewed on the WRC Stage at Jyväskylä Paviljonki on Wednesday 31 July at approximately 20.30. 17.4 Promotional Caravan A promotional caravan of Neste Oil Rally Finland will build up the atmosphere along the rally route. Running through selected special stages and other public areas it will hand out sponsor products and spread good-will accompanied by cheery music. 17.5 Family World with Disney/Pixar Entertainment for children is offered by Family World, which is built to Disney movie themes featuring Princesses, Planes and Monsters University. The Family World is open in Rally HQ throughout the event from 31 July until 3 August. Movie premiere of Monsters University will be held at Finnkino Fantasia in Jyväskylä on 2nd of August. 17.6. Sixt Bumper Cars Sixt Car Rentals offers thrills to young and old rally fans in Jyväskylä Paviljonki. In its second year of involvement Sixt brings to the party bumper cars, which can be used by budding rally drivers to hone their skills on the biggest track in Finland. At the same time they can participate in a competition with a prize of one week’s free car rental. The bumper car track is open throughout the rally, from 31 July until 3 August. 17.7 Off-Road Arena Those inclined towards two-wheel sport will be able to indulge in the Off-Road Arena, where motocross and enduro bikes and relevant equipment are on display. Here you can try your skills on an electric-scooter track and meet some top names of the sport, such as world champion Samuli Aro. On Thursday and Friday stunt shows by the amazing Dusters Team are on the menu. Off-Road Arena is open from Wednesday to Saturday, 31 July - 3 August. 17.8 Meet the Crews Star drivers meet the fans! Rally stars appear on WRC Stage to air their views in an interview session at Jyväskylä Paviljonki on Thursday 1 August and Friday 2 August at approx. 22.00. Also, please note that all Priority drivers will be giving autographs in front of their service bays each time they arrive to service! © AKK Sports Ltd 28
17.9 Live Concerts Finland’s WRC round presents world class entertainment, not just on the special stages, but also elsewhere along the route. Music by top artists is on the menu every night at Rally HQ. Popular rap duo JVG, recent rap breakthrough Sini Sabotage, rock icon Jonne Aaron, party band Käsityöläiset and queen of pop music Paula Koivuniemi all mount the stage during the event. Red Bull Kart Fight Jams run from Thursday to Saturday 1 August - 3 August. Fastest driver of the weekend will receive a Red Bull prize! 17.11 Red Bull Skate Jams Red Bull Skate Jams start on Wednesday 31 July in WRC Square and will be conducted by Finland’s top snowboard competitors Eero Ettala, Roope Tonteri and Heikki Sorsa together with street skateboard ambassador Jaakko Ojanen until Thursday 1 August. 17.12 Youth Day in Jyväskylä Paviljonki Thursday at Jyväskylä Paviljonki is expressly aimed at younger fans - on the agenda is moped driving, Red Bull Kart Fight Jams, Red Bull Skate Jams and live music featuring local rap star Kusti, popular rap duo JVG and recent rap phenomenon Sini Sabotage. 18.
