<strong>Geislinger</strong> Compowind ®<br />
The <strong>Geislinger</strong> Compowind ® is based on more<br />
than 20 years experience in composite couplings<br />
obtained in the marine business. Compowind‘s innovative<br />
composite misalignment elements and the<br />
modular design provide very long lifetime, highest<br />
reliability and easy adaptation to various connection<br />
interfaces.<br />
The fiber-reinforced links are lifetime-calculated<br />
and maintenance-free. Because of the use of advanced<br />
materials and state-of the art manufacturing<br />
methods, operation temperatures from -45°C<br />
up to 90°C are possible. They are age-resistant and<br />
insensitive to heat and oil, thus ensuring the highest<br />
reliability. Due to their special design, reaction<br />
forces are minimized – increasing system reliability<br />
and uptime through reduced bearing loads.<br />

D e s c r i p t i o n<br />
The integrated slip coupling is factory-calibrated –<br />
guaranteeing a defined breakaway torque and thus<br />
reliable system protection. It also features an option<br />
for checking the condition of the slip element.<br />
If the slip element shows wear, shaft and hub can<br />
be radially replaced without dismantling the whole<br />
coupling.<br />
The <strong>Geislinger</strong> Compowind ® coupling consists of<br />
four elements:<br />

Electrically isolating intermediate shaft with<br />
integrated slip coupling<br />
Steel flange hubs fitted with keyway, tapered<br />
hub or clamping set<br />
Steel brake disc<br />
