NO VISA REQUIRED (NVR) ENDORSEMENT INSTRUCTIONS<br />
General information<br />
Bangladesh origin foreign citizens (except SAARC countries) are eligible for<br />
endorsement of “No Visa Required to Travel to Bangladesh” in their foreign passports.<br />
Their (foreign born) wives and children are also eligible for this endorsement, which<br />
allows the holder multiple entries into Bangladesh with unlimited duration of stay within<br />
the validity of the passport. Citizens other then the USA must submit the proof of<br />
residence in USA (Resident permit/work permit/Visa etc.)<br />
Requirements for No Visa Required (NVR) Endorsement:<br />
For Bangladeshi American:<br />
1. 2 (two) copies of duly filled in application form.<br />
2. 2 (two) recent Passport size Color Photos<br />
3. US Passport (valid at least for six months)<br />
4. Copy of valid or expired Bangladesh Passport (Pages 1- 7), or Dual<br />
Citizenship Certificate.<br />
5. Copy of court order in case of name change.<br />
6. A US $100 (Hundred US dollars) fee in the form of Money Order or Cashier<br />
Check payable to Embassy of Bangladesh. Cash or personal check is not accepted.<br />
7. Self-addressed prepaid envelope for return mail service preferably USPS<br />
Certified /Express Mail /FedEx/UPS.<br />
For foreign wife/Husband of Bangladeshi or Bangladeshi American:<br />
1. 2 (two) copies of duly filled in application form.<br />
2. 2 (two) recent Passport size Color Photo<br />
3. US Passport (valid at least for six months)<br />
4. Copy of husband's valid or expired Bangladesh Passport (Pages 1- 7), or his Dual<br />
Citizenship Certificate.<br />
5. Copy of court order in case of name change.<br />
6. Notarized copy of marriage certificate.<br />
7. Notarized affidavit/declaration by wife/husband stating that their marriage is not<br />
broken.<br />
8. A US $100 (Hundred US dollars) fee in the form of Money Order or Cashier<br />
Check payable to Embassy of Bangladesh. Cash or personal check is not accepted.<br />
9. Self-addressed prepaid envelope for return mail service preferably USPS<br />
Certified /Express Mail /FedEx/UPS.<br />
For children of Bangladeshi/ Bangladeshi American (not born in Bangladesh):<br />
1. 2 (two) copies of duly filled in application form.<br />
2. 2 (two) recent Passport size Color Photo<br />
3. US Passport (valid for at least six months)<br />
4. Notarized copies of their birth certificates showing both parents name.<br />

5. Notarized copy (first seven pages) of Bangladesh passport of either their father or<br />
mother.<br />
6. A US $100 (Hundred US dollars) fee in the form of Money Order or Cashier<br />
Check payable to Embassy of Bangladesh. Cash or personal check is not accepted.<br />
7. Self-addressed prepaid envelope for return mail service preferably USPS Certified<br />
/Express Mail/FedEx/UPS.<br />
To transfer an NVR seal from an expired US passport to a renewed one:<br />
1. 2 (two) copies of duly filled in application form.<br />
2. 2 (two) recent Passport size Color Photo<br />
3. New US Passport<br />
4. Expired US passport along with photocopy of its first page and the page<br />
containing expired NVR seal.<br />
5. Copy of court order in case of name change.<br />
6. US $100 (Hundred US dollars) fee in the form of Money Order or Cashier Check<br />
Payable to Embassy of Bangladesh. Cash or personal check is not accepted.<br />
7. Self-addressed prepaid envelope for return mail service preferably USPS Certified<br />
/Express Mail /UPS or FedEx.<br />
Processing time:<br />
Application is received at the counter between 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Monday through<br />
Friday, except holidays. Delivery time is from 3:30-5:00 p.m. the next working day.<br />
The NVR Endorsement is valid until the validity of the passport on which it is endorsed.<br />
Note: 1) Please fulfill all requirements to avoid any delay in processing.<br />
2) Any document such as Birth Certificates /Marriage Certificate /Academic<br />
Certificates etc issued from Bangladesh has to be attested first by the<br />
Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Consular Section), Dhaka.<br />
