Text segment (Main Memory: User Address Space): executable code ii. Data segment (Main Memory: User Address Space) iii. Stack segment (Main Memory: User Address Space) iv. Process Control Block (PCB: maintained by the kernel in Kernel Address Space) • Job: another name for a Process when operating in batch mode. • Job Pool: all jobs that are “in the system,” i.e., that have been submitted either by or on behalf of users. • Job Scheduling: deciding to which jobs or processes is memory to be allocated.
