Who is The Arc of Northeast Tarrant County?
The Arc of Northeast Tarrant County (Arc NETC) - formed by a group of parents who joined forces to
advocate for their children’s rights to be educated in public school system in 1971 – is a 501(c)(3)
nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote the human rights of individuals living with an
intellectual or developmental disability (IDD). Today the Arc of NETC still serves as a voice in the local,
state and national community. Volunteers provide support, information and education for families of
children who live life with a disability label.
We support children by empowering their families to be their child’s best advocate through parent to
parent support, information, education and referrals. We believe knowledge is power and there is no
greater gift for a family than to receive the knowledge needed to affectively promote their child’s
basic human rights.
Sponsorships Available
This year the Arc of NETC is co-hosting the first annual Living with Disability Conference. Become a
sponsor and get exposure to thousands of families in the DFW metroplex through our newsletter and
website and at the conference.
What is the Living with Disability Conference?
The Living with Disability Conference will equip families with information and strategies to deal with
the unique issues and challenges they face on a daily basis in caring for their children, and will
empower them to advocate for their child’s needs. The conference will also provides a rare
opportunity for parents to connect with peers – other parents who have “walked a mile” in their
shoes. See below for more information on how you can support families in the DFW metroplex.
