Sure Start DOD
It is committed to providing the highest quality
preschool education for eligible children of families
living at military installations overseas. Child must be
4 years old by Sept 1st at the beginning of the school
year. Priority will be given to students whose sponsor
is equivalent to E-1 to E-4 or GS 1 to GS-04.

The Family Child Care Program strives to help
meet the needs of the community by maintaining high
quality child care. Please feel free to visit our Family
Child Care Office for personal service or to obtain
more information about our program.

What is a Family Child Care Provider?
A licensed individual who cares for children
in his/her home & base government quarters or
affiliation off base.
What is an Affiliated Family Child Care Provider?
Off-base provider that are in compliance with the Air
Force family child care standards and voluntarily
submits to the same screening, training, and inspection requirements
as on-base licensed providers.

Child Care for PCS’ers
Open to all duty Air Force
personnel and their families.
Air Force Aid Society pays for up to
20 hours of child care per child listed
on your PCS orders. Up to 60 days of arrival or departure.
Care is only available through the FCC providers.

The Air Force Aid Society will pay the costs of having
each base Child Development Center open at least once
a month for families referred to this program. Please
ask for a voucher at A & FRC.

Exceptional Family Member
Program Family Support

The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP)
is designed to provide support to military family
members with special needs. EFMP is a mandatory
enrollment program that protects the federal entitlements
and military benefits of family members as they
move around the world with their active duty sponsors.
Services include a variety of personnel, medical,
educational and family support functions.
Family Support assists with:

• Referrals
• Support Groups
• Recreational Events
• Promotion of Child Find Screenings
