General Information<br />

Information Booth<br />

The <strong>asm2014</strong> Information Booth will be located in the North<br />

Lobby of the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.<br />

The following information will be available:<br />

■ Meeting Information<br />

■ Approved Affiliated Events<br />

■ Program Changes and Updates<br />

■ Boston Information<br />

There will also be an information desk in the North Lobby<br />

staffed with experts from Boston who will be able to assist you<br />

with restaurant reservations and activities while in Boston.<br />

Lost and Found<br />

Unattended personal belongings will be removed and taken<br />

to the ASM Headquarters Office located in Boardroom 201.<br />

Messages<br />

Mail and other forms of communication can be directed to<br />

the individual at the hotel where he or she is registered.<br />

Nursing Room<br />

A Nursing Room will be available for use during <strong>asm2014</strong>.<br />

Please visit Headquarters in Boardroom 201 for additional<br />

information.<br />

Parking<br />

For information about getting to the Boston Convention and<br />

Exhibition Center, including directions, maps, and alternate<br />

transportation, please visit www.advantageboston.com/bcec/<br />

Poster Information<br />

Call4Posters<br />

The Call4Posters Booth is located inside the Poster Hall,<br />

Exhibit Hall B.<br />

Poster Entrance<br />

Poster presenters must have their acceptance letter and<br />

meeting badge to enter the Exhibit Hall during designated<br />

poster set up and dismantle times. A security officer will be<br />

stationed at the entrance to confirm admission into Exhibit<br />

Hall B.<br />

Poster Presentations<br />

Posters will be presented in Poster Hall, Exhibit Hall B,<br />

Sunday –Tuesday, from 10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 12:30<br />

p.m. – 1:45 p.m. Posters must remain on display from 8:00<br />

a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday and Monday and 8:00 a.m. – 3:00<br />

p.m. on Tuesday the day of presentation.<br />

Poster Networking Cards<br />

Quartzy has provided 25 free Poster Networking Cards to<br />

every poster presenter. Pick up the cards at the Quartzy Booth<br />

located inside the Poster Hall in Exhibit Hall B.<br />

Poster Storage<br />

<strong>Comp</strong>limentary poster storage, for posters and poster containers<br />

only, is located in the front of Poster Hall, Exhibit Hall<br />

B. Posters not removed or left in the Poster Storage area will<br />

be discarded on the last day of <strong>asm2014</strong>.<br />

Procedures<br />

MORNING PROCEDURES<br />

Presenters may mount their poster between 7:00 a.m. –<br />

8:00 a.m. on their scheduled presentation date.<br />

AFTERNOON PROCEDURES<br />

Presenters must remove their poster between 4:00 p.m. –<br />

5:30 p.m. on their scheduled presentation date.<br />

Posters remaining on the boards after this time will be discarded.<br />

Any unauthorized persons in the Poster/Exhibit Hall before or<br />

after the scheduled times will be asked to leave by ASM staff<br />

or security.<br />

Outstanding Student Posters<br />

The Outstanding Student Poster Session is dedicated to<br />

highlighting exceptional students for outstanding research<br />

efforts. To qualify for consideration the abstract had to<br />

demonstrate an interdisciplinary nature. Forty posters were<br />

selected from across the four Divisional Groups for this<br />

special session.<br />

Program Changes<br />

Daily updates and changes to the Final Program will be<br />

highlighted in the addendum included in the registration bag<br />

as well as on the event app.<br />

Sessions and Room Capacity<br />

All scientific sessions will be held at the Boston Convention<br />

and Exhibition Center. A map of the convention center can<br />

be located in the Meeting & Exhibit Guide and on page 37 of<br />

this Final Program. The General Meeting Program Committee<br />

attempts to determine the popularity and estimated attendance<br />

level for each session. Please accept our apologies in<br />

advance should the demand exceed the number of seats in<br />
