6. DOCUMENTATION & RECORDS<br />

The Centre should maintain proper records <strong>for</strong><br />

procurement, cross-matching and issue of<br />

blood and blood components. These records<br />

should be kept <strong>for</strong> at least 5 years.<br />

The training will be <strong>for</strong> three-days duration<br />

during which the Medical Officer and the<br />

technician from the identified FRUs will be<br />

posted at the training institution.<br />

7. TRAINING<br />

(SOPM) has been developed and is part of<br />

these guidelines. This SOPM will be used as<br />

be responsible <strong>for</strong> the <strong>Blood</strong> <strong>Storage</strong> Centre,<br />

should be carried out <strong>for</strong> 3 days in an identified<br />

centre as per the guidelines. Training will<br />
