This is an agreement between the <strong>Sault</strong> <strong>Ste</strong>. <strong>Marie</strong> Housing Corporation and<br />

I, ______________ from __________________ request to book the <strong>Common</strong> <strong>Room</strong> for<br />

the date and times specified above.<br />

I have read and agree to abide by the rules <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Common</strong> <strong>Room</strong> Policy, listed below.<br />

1. A room rental fee <strong>of</strong> $25.00 will be submitted in the form <strong>of</strong> cash payable at the<br />

<strong>of</strong>fices <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Sault</strong> <strong>Ste</strong>. <strong>Marie</strong> Housing Corporation.<br />

2. All events must finish by 11PM on weekdays and by 1AM on Fridays or<br />

Saturdays.<br />

3. There will be no smoking in the <strong>Common</strong> <strong>Room</strong>.<br />

4. Guests are NOT ALLOWED to loiter in the lobby, corridors, stairwells or any<br />

other common areas <strong>of</strong> the building.<br />

5. The tenant or tenant group must provide access to the guests and ensure they<br />

allow only guests to enter the building.<br />

6. Food and beverages are to be consumed in the <strong>Common</strong> <strong>Room</strong>.<br />

7. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.<br />

8. Housing staff reserve the right to inspect the facility at any time and to terminate<br />

any event that violates any <strong>of</strong> the rules above or is proceeding in an illegal or<br />

disruptive manner.


9. The tenant or tenant group and guests may not open or cause to be opened any<br />

locked cupboards, doors or cabinets, except where expressly permitted in this<br />

contract.<br />

10. The tenant may not use any <strong>of</strong> the facilities such as any electronic equipment or<br />

existing stock in the kitchen without the expressed written permission <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Sault</strong><br />

<strong>Ste</strong>. <strong>Marie</strong> Housing Corporation as added to this contract.<br />

11. The tenant or tenant group representative(s) who signs the application must be<br />

present throughout the event and is responsible for ensuring that there is no<br />

excessive noise or disruptive behavior.<br />

12. The tenant or tenant group is responsible for the actions <strong>of</strong> all <strong>of</strong> their guests and<br />

will be held accountable for any damages caused by any guest.<br />

13. The tenant or tenant group is responsible for setting up the common room and<br />

returning all furnishings to their original location.<br />

14. The <strong>Common</strong> <strong>Room</strong> must be cleaned thoroughly following the event. If the<br />

common room is not cleaned to the satisfaction <strong>of</strong> Housing staff, the tenant will<br />

be charged for the cleaning <strong>of</strong> the room.<br />

15. By signing this agreement the tenant indemnifies and saves the <strong>Sault</strong> <strong>Ste</strong>. <strong>Marie</strong><br />

Housing Corporation harmless with respect to any and all claims for injury, loss<br />

<strong>of</strong> property, liabilities or damages (including negligence) arising out <strong>of</strong> the event<br />

being held by the tenant in the meeting space during the rental period.<br />

PLEASE NOTE:<br />

THE TENANT or TENANT GROUP AGREES THAT SHOULD THERE BE ANY<br />

DAMAGE OR REPAIRS REQUIRED AS A RESULT OF THE EVENT, THE COST OF<br />

THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT WILL BE CHARGED TO THE TENANT or TENANT<br />

GROUP. IF THE TENANT or TENANT GROUP DOES NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THE<br />

DAMAGES AND MAKE GOOD ON THEIR REPAYMENT, IT MAY BE CAUSE FOR<br />

LEGAL PROCEEDINGS.<br />

The <strong>Sault</strong> <strong>Ste</strong>. <strong>Marie</strong> Housing Corporation reserves the right to prohibit future common<br />

room bookings to the above-named person and to any individual or organization who<br />

fails to abide by the <strong>Common</strong> <strong>Room</strong> Policy.<br />
