Tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g programme<br />

The <strong>Master's</strong> <strong>Degree</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>Italian</strong> <strong>Fashion</strong>, <strong>Design</strong> <strong>and</strong> Luxury Product Management <strong>and</strong> Communication offers <strong>in</strong>-depth<br />

tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the fundamental aspects of <strong>Italian</strong> product management. Students will learn to underst<strong>and</strong> the world of<br />

fashion <strong>and</strong> design, deal with changes <strong>in</strong> consumer trends <strong>and</strong> acquire the necessary skills to f<strong>in</strong>e-tune companies<br />

market<strong>in</strong>g, communication, br<strong>and</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> retail<strong>in</strong>g activities.<br />

In addition to deal<strong>in</strong>g with the basic aspects of corporate management, the tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g will focus on:<br />

- the underst<strong>and</strong><strong>in</strong>g of fashion <strong>and</strong> design trends, also <strong>in</strong> terms of aesthetics, plann<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> culture;<br />

- customer analysis <strong>and</strong> how customers evolve <strong>in</strong> relation to the world of fashion <strong>and</strong> <strong>in</strong>terior design;<br />

- strategic management of market<strong>in</strong>g, communication <strong>and</strong> customer relationship tools: type of retails <strong>and</strong><br />

communication, image <strong>and</strong> br<strong>and</strong> management, company philosophy, etc.<br />

The goal of the <strong>Master's</strong> <strong>Degree</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>Italian</strong> <strong>Fashion</strong>, <strong>Design</strong> <strong>and</strong> Luxury Product Management <strong>and</strong> Communication is to<br />

tra<strong>in</strong> highly specialised professionals, who are <strong>in</strong>creas<strong>in</strong>gly sought after by fashion <strong>and</strong> design companies <strong>and</strong> by retail,<br />

communication <strong>and</strong> press companies deal<strong>in</strong>g with fashion <strong>and</strong> design.<br />

All tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g is strictly related to corporate bus<strong>in</strong>ess <strong>and</strong> employment <strong>in</strong> the <strong>Italian</strong> fashion world. Most of the lectures<br />

will be given by bus<strong>in</strong>essmen, managers, professionals, journalists <strong>and</strong> consultants whose work is directly connected to<br />

the ever-chang<strong>in</strong>g world of <strong>Italian</strong>-made products.<br />

Target audience<br />

The Master’s <strong>Degree</strong> course is aimed at people with a first-<strong>level</strong> or traditional degree from any <strong>Italian</strong> university.<br />

It is also open to foreign students who wish to broaden their knowledge of the logic beh<strong>in</strong>d companies whose bus<strong>in</strong>ess<br />

h<strong>in</strong>ges on <strong>Italian</strong>-made products. Foreign students wish<strong>in</strong>g to enrol must possess a legally recognised <strong>and</strong> correspond<strong>in</strong>g<br />

degree.<br />

Frequency<br />

The Master’s <strong>Degree</strong> course has a m<strong>and</strong>atory frequency Monday to Friday (9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.), from November 4 th<br />

2013 until April 16 th 2014, at IULM University, Via Carlo Bo, 1 - Milano<br />

Number of students: 30 max<br />

Tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g activities<br />

Tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g activities are divided <strong>in</strong>to modules, workshops, work experiences <strong>and</strong> a f<strong>in</strong>al test. At the end of each module<br />

students will take part <strong>in</strong> practical exercises related to the workshops they have attended <strong>and</strong> will then be required to<br />

give an assessment test <strong>in</strong> order to acquire the due university credits.<br />

Early enrolment<br />

€100.00 fee is applied upon confirmation for early enrolment to any of the Master’s <strong>Degree</strong> courses.<br />

Applicants who do not confirm their enrolment or fail the admission procedure will not be reimbursed.<br />

Early enrolments to the 10 th edition of the <strong>Master's</strong> <strong>Degree</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>Italian</strong> <strong>Fashion</strong>, <strong>Design</strong> <strong>and</strong> Luxury Product Management<br />

<strong>and</strong> Communication are open from April 30 th 2013.<br />

degree certification on unstamped paper with the list of all susta<strong>in</strong>ed exams <strong>and</strong> relative marks<br />

Enrolment requests from students who plan on tak<strong>in</strong>g their degree by autumn session 2012/2013 will be conditionally<br />

accepted.<br />

Taxation<br />

1 st rate € 3,500.00 contextual to enrolment<br />

2 nd rate € 3,000.00 not later than January 10 th 2014<br />

3 rd rate € 2,300.00 not later than March 7 th 2014<br />

Total amount € 8,800.00<br />

Delay of payment.<br />

Any delay of rate payment will be subject to a fixed fee of € 75.00.<br />

Selection <strong>in</strong>terviews<br />

Admission to the Master is subject to assessment of the c<strong>and</strong>idate's cv <strong>and</strong> pass<strong>in</strong>g an <strong>in</strong>terview evaluation of<br />

knowledge <strong>and</strong> motivation. The Organiz<strong>in</strong>g Secretariat will <strong>in</strong>dicate the dates well <strong>in</strong> advance of the talks, which will be<br />

published on the website of the Master <strong>and</strong> communicated directly to c<strong>and</strong>idates.<br />

All those wish<strong>in</strong>g to enrol <strong>in</strong> the Master’s <strong>Degree</strong> course must possess a three-, four- or five-year degree <strong>in</strong> any of the<br />

follow<strong>in</strong>g areas:<br />

- Communication studies<br />

- Public Relations / Public Relations <strong>and</strong> Advertis<strong>in</strong>g<br />

- Economics<br />

- <strong>Fashion</strong><br />

- Architecture<br />

- Industrial <strong>Design</strong><br />

- Foreign Languages.<br />

Knowledge of <strong>Italian</strong> <strong>and</strong> English languages is m<strong>and</strong>atory.<br />

On the day of the selection <strong>in</strong>terviews, all c<strong>and</strong>idates must br<strong>in</strong>g:<br />

- a valid identification document<br />

- a copy of curriculum vitae<br />

- the receipt of payment relative to the early enrolment<br />

- a substitute statement of all relevant certificates, diplomas or degrees<br />
