Balloons are an ideal choice when it comes to decorating – they are cheap, colourful and easy to use.

They can really brighten up a space and create a party atmosphere. There are so many different

ways that you can make decorations with balloons to add impact to your décor, so why not be a

little adventurous and try something new!

Most people just hang up a few balloons, but this has been done a million times! Why not do

something different with your balloon décor that your guests have never seen before? If you are

looking for some creative ideas for decorating with balloons, here is a little bit of inspiration.

Make Your Own Photo Chandelier

Why not use balloons to create your own beautiful chandelier and showcase beautiful photos? For

this idea you will need a lot of balloons, a helium tank and curling ribbon. Print off a collection of

photos that you want to show off during the event. At a birthday party they could be portraits of the

special person at different stages of their life, or at a wedding they could be pictures of the happy

couple. Glue the photos onto card stock and punch a hole in the top, tying the curling ribbon

through them.

Next, fill up the balloons with helium and tie the photos to the balloons with the other end of the

ribbon. You can then create the chandelier in any size you like by using double sided tape to stick the

balloon to the ceiling.

Glowing LED Balloons

It is possible to get balloons and balloon ribbon that

have been enhanced with LED lights. The balloons

contain a unique LED light unit inside creating a

fantastic glow effect. Simply pull the tab to activate the

light, and inflate the balloon as normal.

There are many creative ways that you can use these

glowing LED balloons and ribbon to create a unique

decoration – perhaps by suspending them from the

ceiling or using them within a balloon arch or wreath.

You could even use these glowing balloons to

illuminate your ice sculptures,

accentuate floral arrangements or light up your porch railings. Try using different colours of LED

lights and balloons, so that you can create different effects.

Glitter Dipped Balloons

Are you looking to jazz up your balloons and make them even more glamorous and eye catching? All

you will need is some balloons, some glitter or confetti, a paint brush and some decoupage glue.

Start by inflating the balloons and painting on the decoupage glue on the bottom. You will need a

thin yet even layer. You also need to decide whether you want to coat the entire balloons or just a

section of it.

Once the glue is spread onto the balloon, you can dip it into the glitter or sprinkle it on. Shake the

balloon so that the excess glitter falls off; then let the glue dry. If you want, you can add another

layer of decoupage glue over the glitter or confetti to make sure that it all stays on. Then just paint

the glue on over the top of the glitter and it will dry clear.

Splatter Paint Balloons

Another fun way of decorating your party balloons

is to give them the Jackson Pollock treatment with

splatter painting. You can use balloons and paint

of any colour, giving you a lot of creative and fun

options for beautiful decorations!

The first step is to set up a tarp or a protective

surface, as this project will get very messy. Then,

thin out the paint with a 3-1 water ratio, so that it

will splatter more easily. Dip the paintbrush in the

watered-down paint, hold onto the balloon and

flick the brush to splatter the paint across the

surface. When you are happy with the splatters,

hang the balloons up by the knot so that they can

dry. This technique will work with helium balloons

or ones that are just filled with air.

These are just a few unique ideas that you can try when you are decorating for your next party with

balloons – one of the easiest and most popular options for party decorating. They are cheap,

versatile and you can do so many great things with them, so get a pack of balloons and see how your

imagination can transform them. Balloons Galore has a wide range of Balloons available in many
