Glitter Dipped Balloons
Are you looking to jazz up your balloons and make them even more glamorous and eye catching? All
you will need is some balloons, some glitter or confetti, a paint brush and some decoupage glue.
Start by inflating the balloons and painting on the decoupage glue on the bottom. You will need a
thin yet even layer. You also need to decide whether you want to coat the entire balloons or just a
section of it.
Once the glue is spread onto the balloon, you can dip it into the glitter or sprinkle it on. Shake the
balloon so that the excess glitter falls off; then let the glue dry. If you want, you can add another
layer of decoupage glue over the glitter or confetti to make sure that it all stays on. Then just paint
the glue on over the top of the glitter and it will dry clear.
Splatter Paint Balloons
Another fun way of decorating your party balloons
is to give them the Jackson Pollock treatment with
splatter painting. You can use balloons and paint
of any colour, giving you a lot of creative and fun
options for beautiful decorations!
The first step is to set up a tarp or a protective
surface, as this project will get very messy. Then,
thin out the paint with a 3-1 water ratio, so that it
will splatter more easily. Dip the paintbrush in the
watered-down paint, hold onto the balloon and
flick the brush to splatter the paint across the
surface. When you are happy with the splatters,
hang the balloons up by the knot so that they can
dry. This technique will work with helium balloons
or ones that are just filled with air.
