The Amazing Postpaid Deals Promotion gives customers the opportunity to receive discounts 

on selected handsets with the activation of a postpaid account. The promotion also gives one 

month FREE Blackberry service to customers purchasing any of the selected Blackberry 

handsets upon postpaid activation.

3. What is the promotional period? 

• Promotion begins on Tuesday February 1 st , 2011 and ends on Saturday February 19 th , 

2011. 

4. Who can participate in the Amazing Postpaid Deals Promotion Offer? 

• All new and existing Digicel customers who purchase the selected handset from an 

authorized Digicel dealer and activate any postpaid plan during the promotional 

period are eligible to receive the promotional offering.

5. How does this promotion work? 

• Customers who purchase any of the handsets under this Promotion shall receive a 

discount. 

• Customers will receive the Nokia 1616 FREE with postpaid activation and the Samsung 

E2121 at a 40% discount with postpaid activation. 

• Customers who purchase either a Nokia C3 or any of the selected Blackberries (8520 

Curve, 8900 Curve, 9100 Pearl, 9300 Curve and 9700 Bold) will receive a 35% discount 

with postpaid activation 

• To be eligible for the discount, customers must also activate any one of the following 

Postpaid Plans “Select 1000, Select 2000, Select 3000 and/or Select 5500 plan. 

• Once the customer has taken up the promotion offer, the customer will be bound to a 

1 year (12-month) contract. 

• Existing Postpaid Customers can benefit from the discounted handset prices if they 

extend their contract by a further 12 months from the date of purchasing the new 

handset. 

• With the purchase of any BlackBerry Handset listed, customers will receive 1 month of 

free Postpaid Blackberry Service. 

6. What is needed to become a Digi-Select customer?

• Signing up for new Digicel postpaid service offered in the promotion and getting a 

new number. 

• Converting from prepaid to postpaid during the promotional period. 

9. Is the customer eligible for the promotion if he/she is already a postpaid customer? 

• Yes

• Existing Postpaid Customers can benefit from the discounted handset prices if 

they extend their contract by a further 12 months from the date of purchasing the 

new handset. 

• The customer can also benefit from the promotion, by applying for a new postpaid 

contract which also bounds the customer to a 1 year contract. 

10. Can loyalty points be used with the discounted prices upon purchasing a handset? 

• Yes 

• Loyalty points can be used to purchase the discounted handsets. 

11. I want to terminate the contract before the 12 months (1 year) period is up, what is the 

consequence? 

• If the Customer terminates the contract before the end of the minimum contract 

period, the Customer will be liable to pay Digicel for the pro-rated value of the 

handset at the time of termination. 

• for example: “A Customer signs up for 12 months and the current cost of the 

phone is $17,180 + GCT, if the contract is broken in the 8 th month of the contract 

then the cost the customer will pay the Customer will be charged is calculated as 

follows”: 

$17180/12= $1,431.66, $1,431.66x 4 months = $5,726.66 

12. Is the Digicel Free Nights and weekend activated upon purchase? 

• No, this is not offered in the promotion

• If customer wishes to activate Free Nights and Weekend Plan he/she may dial the 

code *138#. The customer will be charged the monthly subscription of $350 per 

month. 

13. Will the Blackberry Service be activated on the account upon purchase of any of the Blackberry 

Handsets? 

• Yes 

• Customers will receive 1 month of free Postpaid Blackberry Service 

• If the customer has any issues with the Blackberry service can contact the 

“Products Line” at 878-2232, free from their Digicel phone. 

14. What the cost for the Blackberry service? 

• For the promotional Period the Blackberry Service will be Free for 1 month 

• Thereafter the Blackberry service is a monthly charge of $1499 

15. What does the Blackberry service offer? 

• The Blackberry service offers: 

‣ Unlimited data access for WEB browsing

(2011) 

1. The ‘Valentines Postpaid Phone Sale' promotion, ‘the Promotion’, is available to all new and 

existing postpaid Digicel customers and existing prepaid Digicel customers who convert to 

Digicel’s postpaid service (‘Customers’) 

2. The Promotion begins on February 1, 2011 to February 19, 2011 and will continue while stocks 

last or until such date that Digicel will determine. 

3. During the Promotion Period, all Customers can purchase the handsets listed below at a 

reduced rate. 

4. The handsets listed below can be purchased at Digicel stores, subject to stock availability. 

5. Customers who purchase any of the Blackberry handsets listed below during the Promotion 

will also receive one (1) month free Blackberry Service.

7. The discounted handset prices are only on offer to new Postpaid Customer activations who 

sign a minimum 12 month service contract.

8. Existing Postpaid Customers can benefit from the discounted handset prices if they extend 

their contract by a further 12 months from the date of purchasing the new handset. 

9. Existing Prepaid Customers can benefit from the Promotion if they convert to the Postpaid 

service. 

10. New Postpaid Customers who sign up will be bound by the Digicel Select terms and conditions 

and shall be required to pay the applicable service plan deposit associated with the Digicel 

Select plan chosen by the Customer.

13. Digicel reserves the right to at any time vary the terms of the Promotion, to amend its Terms 

and Conditions, or to withdraw the Promotion. In any of these events notice will be given via 

media advertisements (including via Digicel’s website) or messages to subscribers and will be 

effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notifications.
