We are excited to showcase our program and our genetics. This operation is no stranger to the seedstock industry as 2010 marks the 50th consecutive year that the Stevenson family has held an Angus Production sale and the 18th year since the Diamond Dot Ranch was started. We wish all the rest of our family and past business partners the best of luck into the future in whatever endeavor they pursue. This sale gives Diamond Dot the opportunity to control our own destiny and further expose our program to the public. It also gives us the opportunity to implement our individual ideas and makes us better able to serve you our customers. We truly believe the foundation of any good purebred business is the cow herd. Our cow herd is second to none and our business is a hands on business where all problem cows are eliminated from being breeding stock. We also believe our line up of herd sires is as strong as any bulls in the country and our sale offering is truly outstanding. Me e t Ad d i t i o n a l Pe o p l e Be h i n d St e v e n s o n’s Di a m o n d Do t Lance Hughes, DVM and family came to Montana in 1998 and began working for the Stevenson family as an on staff veterinarian. His family has lived on a portion of the Diamond Dot ranch since they arrived in Montana. Lance has an excellent eye for cattle and his advice and input into our breeding program and ranch operation has been extremely valuable. The Hughes family is no stranger to work and the Hughes brothers, Colten and River have spent much of their time working cattle on the ranch and run a few cows within the Diamond Dot herd. Office 406-423-5527 Cell 406-350-8381 Ryan Hughes grew up on a neighboring commercial cow calf operation. He worked for several years for the Stevenson family in marketing and customer service. Today Ryan has moved on to other endeavors but he has agreed to continue helping our customers in the selection of their genetics. He is very knowledgeable about our cattle and can provide an honest opinion. 406-581-1873 Matt Eike has been with Diamond Dot since January 1998. His main responsibility is day to day care of the cow herd. From AI, calving and weaning Matt’s attention to detail is truly valuable. Mandy Eike, our niece, is in charge of cattle records. 406-366-9026 Roger Epkes – 14 years Bryan Works’ main responsibility is feeding and health of the bulls. Bryan grew up in Kentucky and has helped customers in selecting bulls to send back to that area. He sees the bulls on a daily basis and knows what we are striving for in our cattle. The fitness of our sale cattle is due to Bryan’s diligence in our feeding program. 406-366-5216 Aaron Eike -12 years Charlie Rennix Jr. Jed Stevenson, Clint’s cousin is the owner of R&S Angus which was an independent operation heavily influenced in the same Stevenson Basin family genetics. In 2000 Jed was injured in a horse accident that left him with limited use of his legs. For the last three years, the R&S cows have been run and calved with the Diamond Dot cow herd and the calves carry the Diamond Dot prefix, yet they can be identified by the R&S in the cow pedigrees. Today Jed is fortunate to be actively involved with the ranch from irrigation, feeding and moving cows, to running tractor and baler. 406-350-5500 A special thanks also to: Gary Wall of Conover Auction Service spends several days a year at the ranch studying our program. He has also been instrumental in helping to find new genetics to inject into our program.
