SUMMER
With TEAN’s Australian Environment, Wildlife and Conservation program you can spend six
weeks travelling through Australia, from the outback to Sydney and the Great Barrier Reef, while
earning academic credit with this science-focused Summer program offered through the University
of New South Wales.
INTERNSHIPS
The China and Australia Internship Programs give students and recent college graduates an opportunity
to work with some of China’s and Australia’s leading organizations and ensure you receive
training compatible with your employment and/or educational history. Internships are available
part time during a semester abroad program or full time during the summer or regular semesters.

I greatly enjoyed my New Zealand Biodiversity
and Biosecurity class. New Zealand
is probably the best place in the world to
learn about biosecurity, and their native
wildlife is so unique. The class was a great
way for people with a biology background
to learn about New Zealand.
There are some academic differences between
the USA and New Zealand but nothing
that can’t be overcome. As a Biochemistry
major the biggest academic difference
is that I wrote more papers in one semester
in New Zealand than in several semesters
at my home university. Even science majors
have to write essays for many classes. We
also had fewer exams, and the final was a
higher percentage of our final grade.
