When a man’s ways are pleasing to the
Lord, he makes even his enemies live at
peace with him. –Proverbs 16:7
Have you ever wondered what God thinks about you?
Well I have! We have a father that loves us so selfishly
that he continues to give us second and third chances
after we continuously wrong him, so how does he feel
when we do or say these things that he doesn’t approve
of?
The way I see it is that if I cannot say or do something
RR 1 Box 1 B • Galesburg, ND • 701-488-2238 in my birth father’s presence, I shouldn’t even think
it in God’s presence, which is everywhere. We have
cheapened God’s grace so much that we just do whatever
we want behind closed doors in hopes that the
forgiving God will give us another chance. How do we
think God feels when we are having sex after he told
us over and over again that it is only for the marriage
bed? How does God feel when we blatantly deny him
before mere mortals because of our reputation? How
does God feel when we trample on his name by committing
the sins he literarily begs us to abstain from?
How does God feel when we can give 8 hours to studying
for an exam and we cannot even spare 15 minutes
for him?
Let us start considering God before we do some of the
sinful things we do. Let sin become a thing of the past.
Let us start living to please God and no one else. Pleasing
the flesh gives a temporal feeling that fades away
like sand in the wind. Taste of the sweetness of God
and feel eternal bliss. From today on, before you make
any decisions, first ask yourself this question; “Is this
decision going to please God?” If the answer is “no”,
then remove it from your mind, it’s not even worth it
because “There is a way that seems right to man, but in
the end, it leads to death.”-Proverbs 16:25
Thank yous
Scallon
“Thank you” seems so inadequate
to express our feelings toward the
overwhelming response to Quentin’s
football injury on Sept. 18. We would
like to try to acknowledge as many of
you as we can.
To the coaches, and all those who
helped Q on the field, thank you for
your calming presence. Kay U. we
were so glad you were there! Thank
you Dr. Mehus, Matt, the EMT, Kelley
A., Cindy P., Rick, who did the X-
rays, Loretta, Mike C, the caring and
gentle way you handled everything
in the ambulance and at the hospital
meant so much.
Thank you, Tim Johnson - we
may have been strangers to you but
no longer, thanks for transportation
for both Lee and I. I hope you made
it back to see your daughter perform!
Laurie P., I was so grateful for the
support when I was in need.
Thank you to the caravan of football
players who showed up at Q’s
bedside at MeritCare hospital. I remember
every face and will always
remember the prayers you offered
over him. God surely was there with
all of you. Coach Bradner, this great
group of young men is a reflection of
your leadership.
To all who sent cards, e-mails,
gifts, stopped by to visit, called and
brought food, your thoughtfulness
was so appreciated.
Thank you to OLP church ladies
who took charge of the bake sale and
potluck in my absence. I knew I could
count on you.
A very special thank you to the
Fuglebergs, Jon and Eric, and Rebecca
W., for staying with us until
the early hours of the morning while
Q was in surgery. Thank you, Nancy,
for the delicious food for the church
potluck and at our home.
Q’s journey with this is not over
but we know he will be okay with the
help and loving support of an awesome
community we are so proud to
be a part of - Thank you!
I want to say “Thank you” to
the board of directors, staff and coworkers
and Desiree for their extra effort all
through the day! Thanks to the company
for the beautiful watch.
Thank you to all the friends, customers
and family for your attendance,
gifts and kind words. You all
made it a very special day for me and
I was surprised at the turn-out! In the
thirty-plus years at Co-Op I made a
lot of friends and you all made the job
worth doing and life worth living for
me
İ wish all that I leave behind continued
