Library and Information Center Collection
This guide is intended as a brief introduction to the American Arbitration Association Library &
Information Center Collection (AAA Collection) for all library users.
In January 2007, the Harnish Law Library became the new home for the AAA Collection. Since then,
library staff has been hard at work processing the multitude of dispute resolution materials.
The AAA Collection offers several different types of dispute resolution materials, including treatises,
loose leafs, periodicals, rules, arbitral awards, AAA Publications and Reports, and archival items. In
addition, the Collection contains materials on a variety of dispute resolution topics. The three core topic
areas are: (1) General, domestic alternative dispute resolution (including mediation, negotiation,
arbitration, and conciliation); (2) International and foreign dispute resolution; and (3) Labor and
employment dispute resolution. Below are selected relevant subject headings and popular works from
each of these core areas, as well as a list of other subject headings represented in the Collection. Use
the subject headings to search the library’s online catalog.
