Dear Friends,
I’m so thankful as I look back at all the ways God has worked in and through our church in
2012. This year, more than ever, He has imprinted on our hearts the importance of being salt and
light in our world. Focused on that purpose, our church has transformed lives and reached out
with the love of Christ to many in our community and around the globe.
This ever-changing world needs Christ more than ever. Let us remain centered on Him and on the
important purpose He has given us as we look forward to where He will lead us in 2013.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS
• Hundreds of people accepted Christ in weekend services and other
ministry events this year. Thank you for bringing your friends and family
members to church!
• Our church-wide small groups grew significantly, particularly in our Young
Adults and 30:40 ministries. We now have 230 small groups ranging from 1st
Grade to senior adults!
• Over 1,300 children and youth came through our doors each week for
midweek programs and weekend services. Your giving supports all of the
programs that minister to these kids and students.
• Over 500 women attended each Tuesday during our Women’s Bible Studies
and 200 attended our Women’s Retreat taught by Fern Nichols.
• 235 men attended the Men’s Conference on discipleship. Over 100 men are
now being mentored and discipled weekly through our Men’s Ministry.
• We gave over $850,000 towards local and overseas missions and sent teams
to work in Nicaragua, Chile, Egypt, Kenya, India, South Africa, Italy, Japan
and Mexico.

MORE HIGHLIGHTS:
• 1,393 children (ages 4 years - 6th grade) attended KidsGames. 60% were
not from our church, including 17% who were not attending church at all.
A dedicated group of 696 volunteers (335 adults & 361 teenagers) worked
together to make KidsGames a success!
• Harvest Party was attended by thousands of families this year. Our church
body showed strong support by donating tons of candy and by volunteering
for this fun family event. This continues to be NCCC’s largest outreach to
the community.
• Our Benevolence Ministry gave more than $180,000 to provide short-term
financial assistance to over 180 individuals and families in need in our church.
• Coast Kids Preschool maintained a steady enrollment of over 220 families.
One third of these families attend other local churches and one third do
not attend church at all making the preschool a valuable resource for our
neighbors and a great outreach to our community.
• We continued to offer regular Career Transitions workshops to help job
seekers with networking, resume writing, interview skills, and using online
tools for job searches. Over 1,400 job leads were emailed out to the Career
Transitions group throughout the year and many people found jobs!
• Our pilot trip to Israel and Jordan was a great success. Over 50 people from
our church toured biblical sites and met with the “Living Stones” throughout
the Holy Land.
• We continued to partner with other North County churches to hold
training and fellowship gatherings for over 100 pastors and ministry leaders in
our local area each quarter.
