From the Principal’s Office:
I wanted to share a brief explanation of some upcoming
fundraising efforts at ADGray. During the first two weeks of
November, ADGray students will be selling t-shirts, cookie
dough, and pies (any items ordered will be delivered in time for
Christmas!). Each student is asked to sell at least one item. These
funds, along with those from the magazine drive, support our end
of year program, “Community Studies.” This very popular and
successful program allows students to participate in community
based learning both on and off school grounds. As I am sure you
know, there are costs associated with this program, whether it be
for transportation, materials or admission fees. Without this
fundraising, Community Studies would have to be limited or
eliminated entirely. I would like to close by thanking students and
parents for their support of this fundraising project and the
Community Studies Program that we are so proud of. If you have
any questions related to fundraising or Community Studies,
please contact us at the school (832-2106).
Just a reminder to students that we do not recommend door-todoor
fundraising. Please sell to family, friends, and neighbors!
Sincerely,
Cross Country Results!
The AD Gray Girls placed 3rd at the XC Championship Meet recently in Belfast. It was a close race for the top 3 finishers with
only 11 points separating the lot. Camden placed first with 55 points, Rockland had 60 points and AD Gray came in 3 rd with a
close 64 points. Leading for ADG was Mallory R. in 3rd place giving Rockland a fight for their title; Brittany A. made
Lincolnville work hard, but gets them in the end with a 4th place finish. Kelsie G. and Mary C. placed 16th and 17th respectively
squeezing out Camden; Elizabeth D. placed 24 th ; Dezarae M. placed 27th and Taylor P. finished in 44 th place.
Due to illness and injury the boys did not have a full team. Alec B. headed out strong, but tripped up on a root and was not able to
finish the race. Brody P. and Craig D. gave the 4-wheeler a workout and finished strong in 47th and 48th place.
The DR Gaul XC coach complimented on ADG’s good sportsmanship and behavior during the season. He told us that we were
the team that he had his team try to emulate. What a great compliment from one coach to another.....
Stay tuned for our pizza party time and don’t forget Awards Night on October 30th!!!
