<strong>“Thank</strong> <strong>you</strong> <strong>so</strong> <strong>much</strong> <strong>for</strong> a <strong>wonderful</strong> <strong>reunion</strong>. <strong>It</strong> <strong>was</strong> <strong>great</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>see</strong> <strong>all</strong> those people, but those<br />

who didn't make it were <strong>so</strong>rely missed. <strong>It</strong> <strong>was</strong> a <strong>great</strong> start <strong>to</strong>, I hope, a number of<br />

reconnections and per<strong>so</strong>nal <strong>reunion</strong>s. <strong>It</strong> <strong>was</strong> especi<strong>all</strong>y <strong>great</strong> that <strong>so</strong> many came from<br />

overseas or Cape Town. Please extend my per<strong>so</strong>nal thanks <strong>to</strong> Steven <strong>for</strong> organising such a<br />

<strong>great</strong> function, the food <strong>was</strong> a gastronomical experience of note!” (Judi Wolder – nee<br />

Mirbach)<br />

“I just want <strong>to</strong> thank <strong>you</strong> very <strong>much</strong> <strong>for</strong> a <strong>wonderful</strong> evening - it <strong>was</strong> re<strong>all</strong>y <strong>great</strong> <strong>to</strong> catch up<br />

naughty) things that we got up <strong>to</strong>!” (Diane Modlin – nee Rodkin)<br />

“I heard an indirect report from Tracey Kessel that it <strong>was</strong> an as<strong>to</strong>unding success. Am <strong>so</strong>rry <strong>to</strong><br />

(<strong>to</strong> have missed) it”. (Alan Jankelowitz)<br />

“Just wanted <strong>to</strong> drop <strong>you</strong> a line <strong>to</strong> say a very big Thank You <strong>for</strong> the superb ef<strong>for</strong>t that each of<br />

<strong>you</strong> put in<strong>to</strong> our <strong>reunion</strong>, it <strong>was</strong> truly a remarkable feat and I am sure that each and every<br />

per<strong>so</strong>n that <strong>was</strong> there on Saturday appreciated <strong>all</strong> the work <strong>you</strong> guys put in. <strong>It</strong> <strong>was</strong> fantastic <strong>to</strong><br />

<strong>see</strong> <strong>all</strong> our "old" school friends, and as I heard <strong>so</strong>meone say, it <strong>was</strong> almost like the Matric<br />

Dance <strong>all</strong> over again except we had <strong>all</strong> got a little older and had added a couple of<br />

appendages (children) <strong>to</strong> our families. Well done guys!” (Jo Braine – nee Gunther)<br />

“You guys re<strong>all</strong>y arranged a gr8 event, and I’m hoping that friendships will be renewed or<br />

even new friendships <strong>for</strong>med. Life is <strong>to</strong>o short (especi<strong>all</strong>y in this country) not <strong>to</strong> have friends<br />

and enjoy life”. (Evan Milner)<br />

“I just wanted <strong>to</strong> tell <strong>you</strong> how <strong>much</strong> I enjoyed it and <strong>to</strong> thank <strong>you</strong> again <strong>for</strong> <strong>all</strong> the work that <strong>you</strong><br />

put in. The organisation <strong>was</strong> exceptional - right from the word go - and I <strong>was</strong> <strong>so</strong> pleased <strong>to</strong> be<br />

able <strong>to</strong> attend”. (Claire Attwood – nee Ward)

“I hear that <strong>you</strong> guys did a fantastic job! Well done!” (Mandi Friedman – nee Gosher)<br />

“…thank <strong>you</strong> <strong>for</strong> an excellent evening - with aspects of the surreal thrown in. You and Steven<br />

(and <strong>all</strong> those involved in the organisation) re<strong>all</strong>y went <strong>to</strong> a huge amount of ef<strong>for</strong>t. Your<br />

initiative and enthusiasm is <strong>great</strong>ly appreciated. <strong>It</strong> <strong>was</strong> fantastic <strong>to</strong> make contact with old<br />

friends and <strong>to</strong> experience the insubstantiality of time. (Martin Wolfaardt)<br />

<strong>“Thank</strong>s again <strong>for</strong> a <strong>wonderful</strong> time (even if we drank <strong>to</strong>o <strong>much</strong>.) <strong>It</strong> <strong>was</strong> <strong>great</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>see</strong> everyone<br />

and how well everyone is holding out :)” (Bryan Kimmel)<br />

<strong>“Thank</strong> <strong>you</strong> <strong>so</strong> <strong>much</strong> from my side <strong>to</strong>o. The evening, the 'old' memories and the connections<br />

<strong>to</strong> people will last <strong>for</strong> our lifetime.” (Karen Doubell – nee Loopuyt)<br />

“My most sincere thank <strong>you</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>you</strong> <strong>all</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>you</strong>r ef<strong>for</strong>ts in making that night most<br />

memorable...Monica <strong>for</strong> the initiative and enormous amounts of energy, Steven <strong>for</strong> supporting<br />

Monica and using <strong>you</strong>r contacts <strong>to</strong> pull off a grand evening at a very low cost budget which as<br />

I know is not always easy in the hospitality game, Clif<strong>for</strong>d <strong>for</strong> taking care of the cash and Lee-<br />

Ann <strong>for</strong> <strong>you</strong>r detective work as well as a very fitting speech from the per<strong>so</strong>n that represented<br />

us at school as our head girl. Thank <strong>you</strong>!!!! In summary: <strong>It</strong> <strong>was</strong> an evening that <strong>was</strong><br />

approached with <strong>so</strong>me degree of apprehension by me but as <strong>so</strong>on as those faces started<br />

appearing it developed in<strong>to</strong> a brilliant evening of brief catching up and of reliving a few<br />

memories over an excellent meal and a few drinks. I can honestly say that I walked away<br />

from that night thinking that it <strong>was</strong> well worth doing, <strong>so</strong> a very big thank <strong>you</strong> <strong>to</strong> those involved<br />

in the organising and importantly <strong>all</strong> those that attended because without the numbers we had<br />

it would not have been the success it <strong>was</strong>. Take care <strong>all</strong> of <strong>you</strong> and may our paths cross real<br />

<strong>so</strong>on.” (Alan Sm<strong>all</strong>)<br />

Thanks Alan! Several people were apprehensive about coming, and we hope they’ll<br />

take the plunge next time around.<br />

“… thank <strong>you</strong> <strong>for</strong> the enormous amount of ef<strong>for</strong>t <strong>you</strong> put in<strong>to</strong> the <strong>reunion</strong>. <strong>It</strong> <strong>was</strong> an<br />

unbelievable success… I thoroughly enjoyed the evening - it <strong>was</strong> <strong>so</strong> worth coming up from<br />

Cape Town. <strong>It</strong> <strong>was</strong> amazing <strong>to</strong> <strong>see</strong> people I had not <strong>see</strong>n in over 20 years and <strong>to</strong> be honest<br />

not <strong>much</strong> has changed. <strong>It</strong> <strong>was</strong> <strong>great</strong> re-connecting with our teachers <strong>to</strong>o.” (Sharon Moore –<br />

nee Yudelowitz)<br />
