Combined Men and Women - Regular & Senior Divisions<br />
2012 - 2013 All Star Team Requirements<br />
A) Eligibility Requirements:<br />
1. Be a member in good standing of the San Diego <strong>USBC</strong>.<br />
2. Purchase your original membership card through the San Diego <strong>USBC</strong>. (See 6 & 7 below)<br />
3. Only events certified, sponsored or conducted by the San Diego <strong>USBC</strong> will be eligible for points.<br />
4. Selections will be made on the basis of overall performance, sportsmanship and character.<br />
A. Any bowler who exhibits poor sportsmanship during any San Diego <strong>USBC</strong> bowling event and is<br />
reported to the San Diego <strong>USBC</strong> association, is subject to disqualification.<br />
B. Any bowler who submits a bad check through San Diego <strong>USBC</strong> shall be subject to disqualification.<br />
5. Must file an All-Star application with the association office or postmarked no later than October 31, 2012 to<br />
be eligible for the current season.<br />
A. League names and bowling centers must be designated clearly on the application.<br />
B. The bowler is responsible to verify All-Star application is on file at association office.<br />
C. May also be given to any San Diego <strong>USBC</strong> Board Member whom is expected to write the date clearly<br />
on the form when received before submitting to association office or committee chairman.<br />
D. It is the bowlers responsibility to check for omissions/accuracy on printouts or recaps.<br />
6. Must have bowled in two sanctioned leagues in two separate bowling centers under San Diego <strong>USBC</strong><br />
jurisdiction in the current bowling year starting September, 2012 through May, 2013.<br />
7. Must have bowled 60 or more games in each league designated on the application.<br />
8. A bowler shall be 50 years of age as of August 1, 2012 of current year to be considered a Senior.<br />
A. NOTE: If the submitted total points qualify you for both the regular and/or senior categories (age 50<br />
no later than August 1, 2012), the highest point total earned will take precedence.<br />
B) Method of turning in scores:<br />
1. The All-Star committee/Board members will accept all applicants’ scores for bowling year September, 2012<br />
thru May, 2013. Accepting Committee/Board member is expected to write the date clearly on the form when<br />
received before submitting to association office or committee chairman.<br />
The Committee/Board members will accept the following:<br />
A. The applicant shall submit originals or copies of each recap sheet containing highlighted eligible<br />
scores from designated leagues on application. It is requested that scores be turned in on a monthly<br />
basis. No faxed documents will be accepted.<br />
B. League Secretary.com or Bowling Center print-outs may also be submitted monthly by bowler.<br />
Scores may be given to any Committee/Board member. Eligible scores need to be highlighted. It<br />
is the Bowlers responsibility to turn in all scores for consideration, and for accuracy of said<br />
submissions<br />
2. Only honor scores will be eligible for All-Star points from non-designated San Diego <strong>USBC</strong> Certified Winter,<br />
Certified Summer leagues & Certified Tournament, and it is the bowler’s responsibility to submit this<br />
information via original/copy of recap sheet to the association office by end of May, 2013.<br />
1. Any 298-299-300 game bowled by a Man or Woman, or 800 series for Men, or 750 for Women, shall<br />
be considered honor scores.<br />
2. Points will also be awarded for 11 strikes in a row in any one game.<br />
C) Criteria for accumulating All-Star points:<br />
1. Composite league average of designated leagues on application.<br />
2. Only first three (3) game series shall count regardless of the total number of games bowled in league or<br />
certified tournament.<br />
A. Honor scores for additional games will be recognized.<br />
3. Scores from singles leagues do not qualify. (Sport League Averages will NOT be rerated<br />
for All Star Points.)<br />
4. A minimum of 275 points shall be accumulated in order to be considered for the team.<br />

D) Method of accumulating points:<br />
1. Composite League Average - 1 point per pin<br />
A. Composite average is both designated league averages added together and divided by 2.<br />
