Welcome Address
Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the members of the Egyptian
Society for the Glaucomas (ESG) and the
organizing committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you all
to the 11th Annual Meeting of the society, to be held at the
Heliopolis Meridien hotel on 20-21 October, 2011.
This year’s meeting has a special significance to us all, being our
first meeting following the Egyptian revolution of January 25th
and in the midst of the Arab spring. I am optimistic that research in
medicine and other fields will flourish as a result.
A first step toward achieving this is that we, the glaucoma
specialists, take this year’s meeting as an opportunity to share
knowledge and exchange ideas, which would hopefully reflect on
improved diagnostic and treatment modalities, for the ultimate
benefit of glaucoma patients.
As our success depends on your attendance and contribution, we
hope that you join us.

Early reservation is necessary
All attendees must wear their Name Tag all through the conference.
Admission to the conference halls will only be with the Name Tag and
scanning of the attendees Barcode.
Certificates will be given on Friday upon showing the Name Tag of the
Conference, without the conference Name Tag, the certificate will not be
handled.
Speakers are kindly requested to handle their presentations ONE HOUR
prior the start of their sessions. No personal laptops will be allowed to be
used inside halls. Presentations will NOT be distributed nor sold to any
party without the written and signed consent of the speaker.
