backyard belonging to a family from India, at 1128 28th<br />

St., Ames, Iowa. remarks: Intense red coloring on stems,<br />

petioles, leaf blades and flowers. Late flowering plant.<br />

Stems thin and branched. Leaves lanceolate. Inflorescence<br />

has short branches. Seeds black. <strong>Plant</strong>s were said to<br />

volunteer from a planting the previous year. A second<br />

collection of this accession was done on 10/19/91 for<br />

additional seed. <strong>The</strong> harvests were combined. Annual.<br />

Cultivated. Seed.<br />
